| Flip-Flopping And I don't mean the shoes, lol. I know I'm not the only one that does this... right? LOL! I'm having a REALLY bad case of it. I have our schedule set now... which is perfect. I'm really happy with the layout of our days, and the ADR's are good. I don't think I'll be making any more changes, so that should be ok. I've spent the past three weeks changing and tweaking the ADR's and whatnot... Now I'm flip-flopping on the resort. Originally we were going to stay at the Poly. With the economy in shambles, we decided to downgrade to POFQ. Now I'm getting a twitch where I want to upgrade to WL. LOL! I have this great vision of being just a boatride away from MK and TTC and the monorail resorts. And having room service (that's not the horrible pizza). Sigh. We still have three months and three weeks to go... and I cannot seem to stop tweaking and changing. It's almost a compulsion. I have all of the "menus" printed out from all-ears for everywhere we are going to eat. I have our schedule done. I have notes reminding me to pre-order a birthday cake a week out... There's really nothing else for me to do. So I'm feeling the need to change things, maybe just to have something to do. I'm relying on these boards a lot to talk about Disney because I can't really discuss the trip with mom. She's still pretty stressed about the economy and if I mention it too much (or the cost) she's going to get cold feet and cancel, lol. Who else does this? And can you stop me? LOL!

| I do the same thing. Last summer I called my bday tr the Mighty Morphing birthday trip because of all the changes. First we changed our dates, then we changed our resort, then we added a night, then we changed ADRs, added ADRs. It's a compulsion really I have started not doing my in depth planning until about a month out from my trips. I plan out my ADRs and resort early on obviously to make my ressies. But then I wait and plan out day by day (hour by hour actually) stuff as the trip gets closer. That helps me not make so many changes. (Although this Nov. trip has already seen it's fair share.... we were going to stay at either BWI or BC, now we're at the CR. We were only going to stay for our anniver. night before our cruise, now we're staying for two nights, and now we're going to the MVMCP )It's all part of the fun I guess

| I think that's the problem if you're a planner. Once it's all planned, you get bored and start looking at ways you can change or improve your plans. Sometimes, it's as much as I can do not to start making changes, as I know that's a dangerous road for me - once I start, I never stop.

| Thank heavens for these boards. I always feel so bad, like I must be boring the heck out of people with my posts, lol... but I know we're all here for the same reason! It's just great to have a place to come to get excited!

| How about a compromise? Stay at POFQ but plan a meal at WL and some time to explore the resort. It doesn't resolve the boatride away yearning, but you get a taste. Last trip we stayed at Pop, but spent some time at Poly ... I of course would have preferred to stay at Poly, but it wasn't feasible so that was my compromise. |

| Would you consider a split stay and start at POFQ and end at WL? I can't give better advice than that since I LOVE WL and will be there next month! All I can say is with 2 small kids being a boat ride away from MK is a dream. (we spend the most time there). Good luck and we all feel the need to keep tweaking something. Mine is my packing list; it's changed about 5 times already!!!

| I won't be much help here - because I do the same thing! Plus - I the WL! So - I would definitely pick that resort over POFQ - if I could afford it! with your decision! And....know that you are not alone! ![]()

| Unfortunately split stays aren't something that's an option for us. Mom and I are both nesters, and it would ruin the trip if we were to have to move in the middle of it. Especially because it's only a 7 night trip. But, perhaps for my Fall 09 trip with DBF and our two DD's, I can do a mod for the trip, with the last night as a surprise upgrade to a MK view at the Poly! I think what I'll do now is book the WL and downgrade to a mod if it turns out we need to. The difference is only $400 for the 7 nights, so it's not bad. Are we there yet?

| split stay are not that bad if you are only changing once . but to give you an idea here is what we are doing in dec. 3 nights buana vista suites 2 nights OKW 2 nights BOARDWALK VILLES this is a little too much but it is fun to visit just 2 resorts in a trip . you can get the feel for the next trip also you do not have to do it every visit , because if you do not like a resort then you are stuck there for the whole trip . but a split trip makes it a little easier to choose too. have a magical trip and good luck on choosing.

| I'd save the WL for when the kiddies are going. Picking a resort is tough because there are so many good options. Think how good you'll feel saving the $$. As for making changes and getting super excited, well you are among friends here!
