EMH

I have a question...most of the park hours are posted for Oct (although Animal Kingdom is missing for the 2nd weeks) and I am curious if it is normal that there would be no EMH the entire week we are there for EPCOT (Oct 5-11th) Also is it normal for the Parks to close at 7pm during Oct (which is considered to be regular season) because that just seems really early.....

The october hours only just came up, right? It's possible that they haven't fully set up the EMH hours, but... yes... it's possible that a park wouldn't have EMH for a week at a time -- especially during the lower-crowd season.

It's not uncommon for the AK to close at 5PM in lower-crowd seasons. Are you asking about Epcot "closing" at 7? If that's the question, then I think you are being confused about the fact that Future World and World Showcase have different operating hours, with FW being the section for the morning and WS being the section for the evening. The big rides and some of the pavilions in FW will still be open through 9PM, but others will close. WS won't open until 11AM, but will close after IllumiNations.

From what I see on the house listed there are 2 nights that MK is open past 7 (1 being until 9 and the other midnight) but otherwise it closes at 7. EPCOT is listed as closing completely at 7pm every night. DHS also closes at 7pm every night except for 1 night where it is open until 8pm. This just seemed like odd hours since it's not even value season time.

Maybe you are thinking of the MK when it has MNSSHP - it "closes" to everyone who hasn't purchased a ticket over and above their passes in the evening?

It may not be value season; but I think you will find some very managable (low) crowds in October............. If you were looking for late nights, I guess its a loss; but the really good news is you will have low waits during the hours they are open! hence; you want need to stay out all night to ride everything.....

I am sure that MNSSHP is the reason why the MK is closing at 7 on some of those nights. And I think Eileen might be correct.....you are looking at FW hours for Epcot. WS will close at 9pm.

Just checked the calendar on the WDW website. If you look in the far right column for Epcot, it clearly says "Future World" for the 9am-7pm hours. Don't know why they wouldn't show WS hours. Also, for the dates I checked (first couple of weeks in Oct), their are some 7pm closings for MK and DHS, but also a few later closings (8pm for DHS, 9pm and 11pm for MK). Some of the 7pm closings are evening EMH at DHS. AK didn't have any hours posted for Oct.
