| Disney Downers Our family (there will be 10 of us, husband, children and friends) are planning a trip to celebrate our youngest children's graduation from high school for August 2010. We are all really excited!! I gave everyone the option of a Disney Land/Sea package, A Disney Package or a trip somewhere tropical they all want the Disney Package. We have been to Disney before but the kids have never experienced staying on Disney property and I am planning, planning, plannig (my favorite thing to do anyways). Well, the past 7 to 10 days I have talked to about 5 people who think we should do a trip different than Disney. I'm not sure why they think they know what my family would like and I wasn't asking for their opinions. I really needed to read my Passporter Forum just to hear from other Disney lovers!!! I love reading everyones ideas and tips and questions..thanks

| I you love it, you love it. I always nod and smile when people give me advice to go somewhere other than Disney. And while they're yapping their nonsense, I zone out and imagine myself walking up Main Street USA. When their lips stop moving, I return from my little mental vacation at my Favorite Place On Earth. | It's what your family picked, so just ignore the comments. Have fun with your planning.

| Hi fellow NW Ohioan! Go to Disney. Your family loves it, that's all that matters. As for the downers? ![]()

| <--Yeah, that. Remember what they say about opinions !!! You know your family best, and what will make them happy the best, and to be honest, those that don't "get it" tend to think that more than one trip to Disney is a waste....Disney is special to us all for different reasons. So plan your trip and have fun!!! |

| In my experience, people who discourage others from visiting WDW do so because they went:
: The best thing to do is to go, and when you return tell them all what a great time you had & recommend PP |

| At least you know those people won't be ahead of you in line - they'll be at home whilst you're having a magical vacation! Happy planning.

| Well, when you get people thinking about vacations we usually start dreaming about the vacations we'd like to take (nobody ever gets enough vacations). If we know we can't take a vacation ourselves, we hope someone else will take the vacation we dream about. And when we get to talking, we want to talk about the vacation plans we know, rather than a totally strange plan to a place we weren't planning to visit. So, you've definitely come to the right place to find people who think "Disney" when you say "vacation."

| Remember that you're doing what makes you and your family happy. If other people don't get it, well.....they aren't going on this vacation We get it! Forget what the downers say and know that here at PP we think you're planning a very special, very magical trip

| My mom can be a Disney downer. She loves Disney and wants to go but my dad won't let her until the credit cards are payed down. I have taken Scarlett so many times over the last few years and she sees us going all the time. I have been telling her our plans for this trip and all I get is UH HUH and OH. She mentioned that I'm only doing one character meal and I said that I'm aware. She told me when she takes us, we are doing character meals and CRT. I said "whoever pays picks" I am paying so I pick |

| I found I keep my plans low because people don't understand why I want to keep going back...it's nice to have a forum like this to talk with likeminded people who understand and don't belittle my 'obsession'

| Are these five Disney downer people not people included in the trip (who already told you they want Disney?) If they are outsiders - who cares what they think!!?? The people who are going want Disney, so you know all will be good. (and now you know who not to be nice to by inviting them on a fun trip to Disney

| I just think to myself "shame you don't get the magic, I do and it makes my life all the richer" - but most people know better by now than to say anything like that to me - they know it would fall on deaf ears.
