| Disney dinner at home. Meal ideas, anyone? Our trip is 2 weeks away, and as a last minute excitement builder I was trying to come up with 3 or 4 dinners (kid and DH friendly) that are disney themed and may help build some excitement. Our fav restaurant is Ohana - so one idea is dinner on big skewers and drinks out of coconuts with polynesian music in background. Does anyone have any favorite themed dinners that help build / recreate / remember the magic of trips past and future? I also want to try to make a glowtini

| Check the recipes and Allears.net--there's lots of good ones there. I like to U-tube some of the parades and fireworks and pull out the popcorn buckets.

| I make the Glowtini's at home. Yum, yum. I want to do a Canadian meal sometime. Starting with the Cheese soup, have some steak, end with creme brulee. too bad I hate to cook. LOL

| ooooh thanks! I had seen the menus on allears but never the actual recipes! Tonite will be Hawaiian theme - skewers, coconut rice, pina coladas, bananas with caramel sauce inspired from Ohana and watching Lilo and Stitch. (Love the Hawaiin Roller Coaster song) Tomorrow Italian nite, with Lady and the Tramp theming and a nose to meatball race across down parchment paper. At some point fancy tea party and dress up night for beauty and the beast..... So much fun. Our trip is only 12 days away. Thanks everyone!!

| If you belong to Costco, they have frozen Mickey-shaped chicken nuggets. I also found Disney dried fruit snacks in my local grocery store (which are going to WDW with us in three weeks). In addition I found carrots and ranch dressing, pretzels and Mickey cheese snacks, etc. in the grab and go cases at the grocery and Sheetz (gas station/convenience stores). So check the produce aisle in your local market.

| We're doing a mickey dinner countdown after the holidays, so I'll be using some of your ideas. The Mickey shaped pancakes are big in our house because every other Friday is breakfast for dinner. Also, when I make pizza at home and use pepperoni I put the pepperoni in hidden Mickey's. I have a few of the WDW cookbooks and we use disboards recipes a lot. |
