Re: Italian charms at WDW?

LOL!!

I'm sitting here reading and wondering what an Italian Charm is and then duh, I realize that I am wearing an Italian charm bracelet!! When I quit my job at the end of May my friends at work got me one. I didn't know (until now) what they are called

Duh....

Anyway, just one more thing that I will now be obsessed with...Luckily I have a small wrist and my bracelet only holds 15 links

Re: Italian charms at WDW?

GREAT Question....short answer The Disney Collection "Italian" charms can be bought at any store on property that sells FINE JEWLERY. There is also an inexpensive version that is being sold at EVERY shop on property.

I bought my starter bracelet and four charms on the Wonder (no tax) and added one disney charm and a non disney charm since I got back. PM me if you have more question.

Re: Italian charms at WDW?

My husband had my daughter buy some at the World of Disney Store at Disneyland. I have Pooh, Eeyore, Goofy, Mickey, Donald, Tinkerbell and Belle. I belive these were around $3.00 each. I also have a couple of the "fine Jewelry" charms and I love them all. Can't wait to finish the bracelet.

Re: Italian charms at WDW?

Wow. I'd never heard of Italian Charm Bracelets until, oh.... about 15 minutes ago now, and just found one on eBay that I'm getting!

So, is $13.95 an incredible high price to pay for one of these, or is that rather fair considering that that includes shipping? Now I can't wait to get to WDW in December so I can buy some new charms/links for it!

Re: Italian charms at WDW?

Are you getting a base bracelet for $13.95? I actually bought a couple of charms and the base bracelet was thrown in free. But, it's not bad for a starter. Once you add a charm, you remove one of the base links. Since my bracelet is now full of charms, I have a complete base bracelet left. Does that make sense? I'm planning to build another with charms from WDW next week. I'll probably get mostly $3 ones and maybe a couple of the pricier ones. It's really fun to collect them!

Sounds like fun. instead of buying pins on my next trip, sounds like I'll be buying charms!

Re: Italian charms at WDW?

Ann - the charms are available at World of Disney - I bought my bracelet and 3 charms there and received 10% off with my Disney Club card. Check out the earlier posts for other stores. I love my bracelet and can't wait to get more charms!!

Re: Italian charms at WDW?

Yeah, I got one off eBay for a total of $13.95 including shipping. And now I've got a couple of low-dollar amount bids on the April and March birthstone charms so I can have one for my husband & Mom (both March babies) and one for my Daddy and me (both April babies) before I make it to the world in December. Plus the little Mickey one that's on the base bracelet.

Bummer that I'm apparently paying too much, but at leasty I know I'm going to love this newly-discovered Disney collectible!

And, btw, SeaKay - drat you to heck for pointing out that once I've got one full, I cna make another! lol Like Irenaroo, I was figuring on this replacing my pin-buying since when buying pins I just HAVE to pick up every Pooh bear for my husband and most Mickeys for me!

ANyhow, I guess I'll just be strong and persevere.

Now, can anyone post a list of what all shops at the World have the charms available? I'm hoping WoD since I can get 10% off there with my AP.
