Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? There are no tickets to order, it is essentially a PS that is a package. It includes a fixed priced meal at a participating MGM restaurant, and have a reserved seating SECTION for Fantasmic. That means you have your meal, then go play in the park, and arrive at the show only 30-45 minutes before showtime (as opposed to the customary hour+) and still have a special seating section to go to. To get more information or to book, call the regular PS number.

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? The Fantasmic Dinner package requires that you go to a MGM restaurant on a short list, and pay a fixed price for that meal. You make the arrangements as you would with any priority seating, but you must pay immediately. You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Restaurants usually include Brown Derby, Mama Melrose and there is usually at least one other, but I can't remember the name of it. EPCOT restaurants are not included for Fantasmic. At Christmas time, EPCOT has a special show called the Candlelight Processional, which has a similar arrangement for reserved seating in a section. The EPCOT World Showcase restaurants are part of this deal. We have used the Fantasmic dinner package many times, and think it is definitely worth it. You have to eat anyway, and you are not paying more then you would have for the meal. The one complaint you will hear is that the reserved section is not the best seats in the house. However to get those seats, you would need to stand in line at least an hour before, unless it is simply a dead night. The other problem is that the seats are only for the night of your dinner, and if that show is cancelled for any reason, i.e. a thunder storm, you don't get a raincheck.

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? Sorry, had a brain skip. I guess I was thinking of illuminations. Embarrassing. Thanks for not mentioning my goof. I'm leaving for Disney on Friday so my brain is too excited to think of much more than that.

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? Kate, I heartily recommend the Fantasmic dinner packages. When we were there in August, they were turning people away because there simply was no more room left for them in the theater. Of the three restaurants available on this plan, Hollywood and Vine is the cheapest at about $20 per adult. That includes a complete all you can eat buffet meal with desserts and non-alcoholic beverages as well. I've done that one for Fantasmic as well as the Brown Derby. They were both great but i must say that I did find the Brown Derby to be vastly superior. Whichever restaurant of the three you might decide on, I'm sure you'll enjoy it and you'll particularly enjoy not having to line up practically forever to see Fantasmic. Joy

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? it is yearly. We did it just a few weeks ago ourselves. Now the fixed price at each of the restaurants varies, and, at Mamma Melroses, the price included a full meal (including desert, so come hungry!). Also, as everyone else has said, when you go to the theater to see Fantasmic, there is an area which is designated as "reserved" for those who do the dinner package. Thanks to the waitress at the restaurant, for giving us the tip to sit at the back of the seating, near the exit. We did and were one of the first ones out at the end of the show, thus missing all the crowd! (also, if you have children, perhaps the dinner package MAY seem expensive.....but then the alternative is not to eat and then when you get to the Fantasmic theater there are vendors selling popcorn, sodas and cotton candy.....which just might cause you to mortgage your home )

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? Well, I called last night and the guy said that the only time they had for dining was at 4:30, which does not work for us at all. I was a little confused as to whether this is the only time you can eat for the package or if that was all they had left? The guy was very unclear when I asked. This guy at Disney was a little snotty. I said something about doing that and then getting back to MK for the MNSSHP by 8:00 and he said there is no way since Illuminations is at 8:00. I said, "At 8:00?" and he said very snotty and like I was dumb, "Yeah!" but then later said I was right that it was at 7:00 because of the time change. Has anyone else gotten someone snotty on the line at Disney? I never have before and was surprised. Kate

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? I called the other day about some confusion in my reservation and the woman I talked to acted like I was an idiot. Didn't get an answer. I called back later and got a woman that was very sweet and helpful and gave me totally different information than the first one. Maybe some are villians and some are heroes. I was shocked too.

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? I didn't pay ahead for my dinner at Hollywood & Vine when I went last Fall I just reserved the same way I would a PS, went to H&V at my designated time and ate my dinner. When I paid, I was handed a ticket that reserved my seating section into Fantasmic. I'm going again in Nov. I'm curious if paying ahead is something new. Someone mentioned they just went a few weeks ago....how did it work for you? Thanks Lisa

Re: What is the Fantasmic dinner package? I booked our Fantasmic dinner pkg for December and did not have to pay ahead. I think I did have to leave a credit card number to garantee the package, but that's it.
