The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! And I mean even worse than paying for the trip.....Today was.....Bathing Suit Shopping Day....YUCK!!! At least it is when you aren't a perfect size anything. Well, at least it is over and the girls and I each have two bathing suits each. The girls look great...me on the other hand....well we won't go there. And just think of how much money an unflattering piece of clothing costs....Boy I am glad that's over with.

Re: The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! I am with you crackers on this one. My cruise is in three weeks and I can't bring my self to try any on yet. I have looked at them hanging on the rack but I always feel like why ruin the rest of my day by trying some on. I will probably wait to the last week before getting one. Hubby and I started tanning today so I am hoping if my skin is darker I will look skinner. yeah right!

Re: The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! Yes, I just got my bathing suit situation squared away myself. Actually, my mom found it in a catalog and after I checked it out she ordered it from LL Bean (free shipping)! AND the suit was only $29, which I thought was a great deal. It's really pretty (pinks and reds floral design) and the quality is surprisingly good for the price (built in bra and everything). I didn't even cry when I tried it on, or when my honest mother told me that she thought I needed the next bigger size. I just tried it on for DH and he thinks it looks nice. I'm not going to worry about it...there are people there who will look much, much better than me, but I'm married and don't need to impress anyone other than DH. ![]() But I do agree...the worst part of trip planning!! I actually should locate one more suit for the trip.

Re: The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! I went out and bought another swimming costume yesterday, partially for the vacation, but also because I'm running low on them. I swim all year round and although I'm not exactly comfortable in a bathing suit, whether at the local pool or at Disney, fortunately I don't have a problem buying them any longer. I sympathise though, because I remember only too well how long it took me to find one I liked when I went back to swimming regularly a couple of years ago.

Re: The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! I need to buy a couple of suits since most of the ones I have no longer fit - I am too big.... oh well - time to get a couple new ones. I am going to the trainer now - and if I get smaller, I will still have the ones that are too small - but I am not relying on that - I will shop (ugh)

Re: The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! yes, I figured two each would be an excellent idea. No one likes to put on a wet bathing suit. I would have had trouble justifying the cost, but since our inground pool should be finished in about six weeks, I was able to justify needing two suits with a pool in the backyard.

[/ QUOTE ] ![]() Boy do I hate this time of year. I hate trying to fit in something that I look horrible in. I especially have to go this year but the one I need to get has to be strapless to get a good tan for my strapless wedding dress. Boy do I need to lose weigh to look good in both my bathing suit and wedding dress. One good thing about the wedding dress is that it covers my unattractive legs |

Re: The Worst Part of Planning our Trip is Now Over!!! Kelly, I've bought bathing suits from Land's End and they are nice. For me the best part is they don't ride UP! I've had the same Land's End suit for 3 years and its still looks nice. Actually, I've been looking at my swimsuit issue, wondering if I needed a new one too! Grace
