Airfare is done We're going to WDW later this year. We're starting off with a Royal Caribbean cruise with my sister & her family from 11/20-11/28 which leaves out of Fort Lauderdale. When we get back to port on 11/28, DH, DD, and I are renting a car & driving to WDW until 12/4. Well, I had already booked our airfare from Orlando to Columbus on 12/4 - got it for $79 per person plus taxes & fees on Southwest. But every time I checked the airfare from Columbus to Fort Lauderdale, it was very expensive - $206 per person (one way)!! So I checked to see if it made a difference if we flew to Fort Lauderdale one night earlier and it did - airfare was $134 per person to fly on 11/18 instead of 11/19. I liked the lower fare, but still hadn't booked it yet. Then yesterday I open up my email, and there's an email from Southwest - this week's featured destination is Fort Lauderdale for travel through 12/11!! So I go in and pull up the fare and it had dropped from $134 to $94 per person!! Naturally I jumped on it and bought the tickets so now the air portion of our trip is all booked and I'm very happy with the fares I got!! Yea!!

Re: Airfare is done Yea!! Sounds like you are on your way. I'm keeping cash in the savings for a good fare for our trip, but that won't be for some time as the fares aren't even out for next Fall yet. LOL But you can never be too ready!! Yvonne

Re: Airfare is done Good for you! I am so happy you got great fares. We had talked about flying next trip as it is a 24 hour drive. Last I checked it was 1100$ for the three of us. We can drive for $250ish and it doesn't make sense for us to fly. I am really very happy for you. Have a wonderful time.
