FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates We have been planning our first ever Disney trip for close to 8 months now. DH just found out his vacation dates for next year. We will be going on October 22-29, 2005. Now that we have a set date and can do a count down, I need ideas to help my two DS 9 and 6 get through the next 10 months. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Paula

Re: FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates Hi! How exciting, you and your family must be PSYCHED! Any trip to Disney is great and a LOT of fun, but there's something really special and magical about the FIRST trip, you'll all love it! 10 months may seem like a long time, but I've been planning my upcoming trip for THREE YEARS! While it may seem frusterating the time will fly by like that. Maybe you can heave a movie night once a month where you all get together and watch a Disney movie, watch the trip-planning video and look over some brochures? That's always a fun thing to do, and Im going to start doing that this month (our trip is next July) Whatever you decide to do start planning early and get ready for a GREAT time!

Re: FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates Congratulations Paula! There's nothing quite so magical as your first trip to WDW. and I'm sure your 2 DS's are really excited about the upcoming trip. I also think you'll be surprised at just how fast it will get here. Joy

Re: FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates Keep an eye out for anyone volunteering for Fairy Godmailer duty and drop them a private message. . . they will send your kids a postcard from their favorite characters while at Disney World!!! Some people have the actual character sign the cards, while some write a little message and sign it themselves (and some people are GOOD at getting close to the character's actual signature!!!) I did that for my 3 year old DD before our trip last month and it was something that got her excited about the trip even more!!! She also just received another one yesterday for our upcoming trip in January (only, she doesn't know we're going in January, she thinks we are just going in March!!! SURPRISE!!! )

Re: FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates Congratulations on booking your first trip! How exciting for you. Another thing to help through the next 10 months is to start your planning. Planning is half the fun in my opinion Plus posting here and talking to people about it. Believe me, your holiday will be here in no time.Annabel ![]()

Re: FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates Congratulations! You are going to have a great time! My kids like to get excited about upcoming trips by visiting the Disney website and playing the games and printing up coloring pages. As the time gets closer a paper chain countdown is one of their favorites.

Re: FInally, we have our first Disney World trip dates Congratulations...your children are going to have a wonderful time. A lot of us act as FairyGod Mailers and send postcards when we go to Disney. Maybe you could ask a few so that your children recieved a Disney postcard.
