A few extra large towels from home, maybe beach towels. You never know when you may need to dry off, or soak up a spill in the car. When dry they also serves well as a light blanket or a neck support for the car ride.

I'm not sure if this has been added......but, I found Monistat powder gel was great no more 'chub rub'. It is priced around $6.49 at Target, near the ladies section.
It comes in a little tube and feels silky smooth, it fit in my fanny/bum pack.

Re: PACKING CHECK LIST & FIRST AID KIT ITEMS....

Since my kids pick up splinters where ever we go, I've got a splinter kit that includes Ora-jel. I put the Ora-jel on the splintered area for a few minutes. Then, when I start extracting the splinter with tweezers or the dreaded needle, the child bearly feels what I'm doing. It has been a wonderful addition to our first-aid kit.

Re: PACKING CHECK LIST & FIRST AID KIT ITEMS....

For those who love to scrapbook their memories, I also pack extra Ziploc bags and label one for each day of our trip. I use them each day to collect extra map copies, postcards, etc. for my books.
