Questions... lots of questions.. Our planning is heading into high gear. We are planning our trip for the end of December/beginning of January. Hopefully, this trip won't get delayed again!! Does anyone know if there is a restaurant at EPCOT that has seating for Illuminations? I know a couple restaurants at MGM have reserved seating for Fantasmic, and was wondering if there was something like that at EPCOT. Moving onto MK. Does anyone know if they have the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks in January? We were thinking of dinner at the Castle, but if there are no fireworks, we will probably do something different. Back to EPCOT... we are thinking of eating at Restaurant Marrakesh or the Biergarten. Any suggestions as to which one would be better? We will have four kids (ages 1, 5, 11, & 14) and are looking for something that will keep them entertained. Has anyone been to the water parks in January? I know the weather can vary, but just curious... From what we've read, Typhoon Lagoon is the only one that is open. Is it warm enough to plan on going to the water parks? Or should be plan on skipping it? Thanks for any information/opinions! After three trips there, I realize how little I know!!! Michelle

Re: Questions... lots of questions.. Rose and Crown Pub has outdoor seating that has a wondeful view of Illuminations. You definitely need a PS for between 7:30 and 8:00 PM and should check in early to request outdoor seating. Be sure to let them know that you will wait for an outdoor table. There is also the Cantina de San Angel which has seating by the lagoon. You need to get there early to stake out a lagoon-side seat. Neither of these offer a Dinner Package like the one offered for Fantasmic, however. You have to time things just right to have a good seat for the show. As for the fireworks at MK, during the time you are there (peak time for the holidays and very crowded) they will probably have shows every night, possibly multiple shows on some nights. You can get some idea by checking last year's parks schedules at the following site: http://www.laughingplace.com/Info-Ca...ll7-200007.asp Good luck with your planning! ------------------ Cruella ºoº "...where the young at heart, of all ages, can laugh and play and learn, together!"

Re: Questions... lots of questions.. In choosing between Marrakesh and Biergarten it will really depend on your kids. Biergarten is loud and boisterous and encourages audience participation, Marrakesh is fairly quiet, with live, traditional musicians and a belly dancer. Biergarten's buffet includes hot dogs for the kids, but everything else is grown-up food - roast chicken, sauerbraten, sausages, boiled or mashed potatoes, red cabbage, etc. Marrakesh has a 4-item kids menu, but it's fairly exotic as kids meals go. Here's the menu from Deb Wills' site. My 7 year-old daughter would probably enjoy the dancer at Marrakesh more than the entertainers at Biergarten, but she'd much prefer the hot dogs to grilled chicken or vegetable couscous. Can't win! ------------------ Co-Author, PassPorter Walt Disney World http://www.passporter.com/wdw/ [This message has been edited by Dave Marx (edited 07-23-2000).]

Re: Questions... lots of questions.. Hmmm. Sounds like we might want to try the Biergarten instead of Restaurant Marrakesh. The idea of Rose & Crown Pub sounds good to me! The only problem is that anything without something for the kids to do or watch will create a problem!! Thanks for the input! 158 days & counting...
