| Rain Ponchos .......... Hi everyone. I'm trying to determine where to buy my rain ponchos at before our trip in Sept. I know that at the parks they are like $5 and that's a bit steep -- and I thought they had them at Target or Wal-Mart for like $.99 but I've called both places and they have some for $1.99 (Target) and $2.97 (Wal-Mart). Anyone seen them anywhere for .99$ or have I lost my mind? Thanks bunches!! ------------------ Denise (31), Bob (33), Zachary (3.5) and Gavin (10 mos.) -- We just can't wait to experience WDW with our children for the first time! | Re: Rain Ponchos .......... Hello my friend! I'm back! Sis and I took our own ponchos, and we did use them I hate to say. Anyway, mom and dad forgot theirs, so sis and I bought one for each of them. I think it was $4.97, or there-abouts, tax included. I didn't pay over $5 for them. Before we left, we were in a store called "Harmon's", in NJ, and they were selling them. Kinda like a discount beauty supply store. I don't know how much they were, but may be a store like that by you would have them! |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... Try checking in Dollar Stores. I have found them @ 2 for $1.00 (very thin but do work)and very light weight for carrying. We also have the yellow ponchos with the cute little guy on the back! ºoº ------------------ Happy Planning & "Remember the Magic!" Take Care, debe-nj |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... I actually did find mine for $.99 at Walmart. I guess you just have to be lucky enought to hit a sale. I think checking the sporting goods sections of various stores would be a good place to look, also the dollar stores. |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... I bought ours at Target for 99¢ (they were not on sale) by the camping equiptment. Sometimes, they put them at the front in the ckeck-out aisle. They also had a variety of more expensive ones. You also might want to check a local sports store. The stores by us carry the 99¢ ones. Just 5 days |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... To me it is a wise choice to buy a poncho elsewhere. When we were there and the rain came, there were yellow ponchos EVERYWHERE! It kinda had me worried about losing DS (Which yellow Mickey belongs to me?? Kinda hard to tell from the back) But they do make useful later and they are a momento from our 1st trip to Disney! | Re: Rain Ponchos .......... All the yellow ponchos make it fun to call to another person in your party - "Hey - you in the yellow!" Several guests turn and look to see if you're talking to them. Try it and see how many strange looks you get! |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... We bought the yellow ponchos while we were there. Yeah I know we were suckers. It would be very hard to find a member of your party if you got seperated. However, we use them at home sometimes and people comment on them-good comments. They think it is neat to have something like that to wear at home. Pro and cons to the ponchos I guess! ------------------ A dream is a wish your heart makes... June 1991-stayed outside of Disney Sept 1998-WL (honeymoon) Dec 1-10, 2000-CBR |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... Well thank you everyone for the help! **can I mention again for the million'th time how helpful you all are on these boards** I ended up getting 5 packs of rain ponchos at the DOLLAR TREE with 2 per pack so that's $.50 each and am I THRILLED! I would have NEVER thought that I would find them at the dollar store and am I forever grateful for these boards!! I even have one "left over" from a few years back with Pocohontas on the back I'm sure I'll throw that in the suitecase too!! But what a relief to know that if it rains REALLY hard and we don't feel like bringing the "wet ponchos" back .. we can toss them and not worry about the cost! |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... Disney Princess... if you have never done and are planning on doing Kali Rapids in AK, no matter what type of rain gear you have on, you more than likely are going to get SOAKED! Glad you were able to find the cheap rain ponchos. ------------------ Happy Planning & "Remember the Magic!" Take Care, debe-nj |

| Re: Rain Ponchos .......... Well thanks everyone for all the help! And I can say that "kali rapids" is the ONLY thing that I will NOT ride! I hate those rides that get you "soaked"! So that one the hubby and my sister can enjoy -- NOT ME!!! One more thing though .... do they make rain ponchos for "children"? Or should I just put the big ones on them since they don't come down to the ground on us anyway? I figure since I got so many at such a bargain basment price ... maybe I could "splurge" on the children's versions ... are they still $5 or are they cheaper? Thanks! |
