10th anniversary trip--not really I really thought I had posted this here before, but it's not showing on any of my searches --I guess I'd better track this one! So, the question is--our 10th anniversary was in May, but we couldn't go to WDW then , for various (now unimportant) reasons. We're going Dec. 3-11 to celebrate . Should I tell CMs (as I'm making/confirming ressies, etc.) that it's our 10th anniversary trip? It is our 10th anniversary trip, it's just not our actual anniversary. What do you think? Would it be cheating, or okay? Not that I would expect any special treatment, but we've actually gone twice for our anniversary and didn't tell anyone, so it might be fun to see if anyone responds. ![]() EticketLiz

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really You could just say you are celebrating your 10th anniversary. No need to specify the actual date unless they ask. I've celebrated DDs birthday a little early or late depending on when we are at Disney.

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really If this trip is to celebrate your anniversary, then I would let people know it is an Anniversary trip. We are going in a few weeks to celebrate DD's 5th birthday but her actual birthday is October 9th. I am still going to tell people it's her birthday because that is why we're there. The only reason we are waiting until after her birthday is I got a fantastic airfare on Southwest. Have fun on your Anniversary trip! ![]()

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really By all means go ahead and notify both your resort and all the restaurants where you have ADRs that you're celebrating your anniversary. We did this for our thirtieth anniversary in Dec/03 even though our actual anniversary was on Sept. 29. We did all sorts of special things to commemorate our anniversary including a moonlit horsedrawn carriage ride and dinner at the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's. WDW is such a wonderful place to celebrate a wedding anniversary - so many romantic nooks and crannies to explore. Joy

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really Another "Absolutely!!" vote here! Like other posters, we did the same thing!! Our anniversary is in September, but we travelled for our 5th Anniversary in December. We'll also be doing the same thing next year for our 10th! ![]() Happy Anniversary!! ~Kimber

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really Definitely tell them! My friend's birthday is in January, and her family goes to Disney every February (they're DVC members), and they always celebrate her birthday down there. It doesn't matter when the actual date of your event is... if you're down there to celebrate, all of the CM's want to celebrate with you! ![]()

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really Just wanted to let you know that DH and I are doing that exact thing! Our actualy 15th anniversary is tomorrow (10/6) but we are celebrating during our Dec. trip to WDW and we'll probably mention that we are celebrating our anniversary (I think DH mentioned it when he was making the reservations too). You really are celebrating while you are there so definitely enjoy your celebration!!! ![]()

Re: 10th anniversary trip--not really Definitely tell them!! They're used to people celebrating "fake" (as one CM told me!) birthdays / anniversaries! Just because you couldn't be there on the actual day doesn't mean you shouldn't get to celebrate it the way you want to!!!
