Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I have no idea why this is the case, but when I make my vacation plans for WDW I choose the resort, make any PS reservations and then I'm done and make very few changes if any. However, when I try to make vacation plans going else where it never seems to work out. Either I'm not happy with the destination or the resort or something else and tend to make a ton of changes or decide I'm not going to go at all. Maybe it's because I love going to WDW so much and that makes it so much easier to plan. Another thing that I notice is that I get really excited about an upcomming WDW trip no matter how far into the future it is, but when I make other vacation plans that excitement just isn't there.

| Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I am with you on that. I plan my Disney vacations and I know right away what hotel I want to stay in this time or what restaurant. But other trips like the one i took to Minnesota I couldn't get decisive as to what hotel and then once i picked one the thought of should i stay there always popped up but i stayed and had a great time but it was defiantely diffferent then Disney! | Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I have an easier time planning a WDW vacation, but I think it's because we've been so many times before than we know what to expect. When we're planning to go to a new place, we have to work out the basics, like how to get from the airport to our location, where might be good places to eat, how long to allow to see things - with Disney, you've got a good idea about all of these things before you go. ![]() |

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I think part of it is the minute you decide to go to Disney the Disney magic takes over. Planning is fun and easy. Each day gets you one day closer and the excitement grows. I love planning a Disney trip...in fact planning is half the fun of the vacation.

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations Disneybound, Since it's just me, I really don't plan what I'm doing park wise until that day, unless I have PS reservations or taking advantage of EMH.

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I have an easier time planning Disney vacations because we have been there so many times, it gets easier with each trip. DH usually plans an itiniery which we usually stick to and it makes things go more smoothly. Now that the kids are getting older, they know what they want to do, so we try to plan accordingly. The are usually dragging us around.

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations It's easier to plan WDW vacations since there's so much information out there to research. Other destinations just don't have that. They don't have the community like this either. There's no magic. Anne

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I think you're right Jason, it is easier! You have a pretty good idea where you want to eat and what you want to see, you don't have to do much research!

| Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I, too, find it so much easier to plan WDW vacations than any other type of holiday trip. For me, I think that happens because of a variety of factors: a) familiarity with WDW and all its numerous facilities and options, b) my total love of all things Disney which then somehow makes the planning process for a WDW trip almost as much fun as the actual trip itself, c) the overall quality of all the WDW hotels, restaurants, and recreational opportunities - I have high expectations in advance of the vacation because of Disney's reliability in providing fabulous service, and d) MAGIC - for me there's something truly magical about all aspects of WDW including the planning process. | Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I think making WDW plans (or even DL plans) is easier because it's all right there. They have shuttle buses, resorts on property, restaurants, etc. You really don't need to leave the property for anything. |

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations I agree with everyone else's assesment. I too find it easier to plan my disney vacations because I already know, because we have been there and done that, what my husband does and does not like to do and where and where not to eat and vice versa(yes he does come up with some good ideas) The only difficult thing that I face is which resort to stay at and if that is my only concern - I think I can live with it!

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations It's a lot easier to plan Disney vacations since there's so much inf out there! You have the Passporter, Unofficial Guide, Birnbaums and countless other books, as well as the Passporter boards, allearsnet.com, Steve Soare's site, and al the others. when it comes to planning other vacations you have to do research and find all the info on your own! I love doing it, though, so I don't mind And I get excited for every vacation, I just love being away!, but I do get a little more excited for Disney ![]()

Re: Does anyone else have an easier time planning WDW vacations than other vacations BaBiEeMeLLy, Maybe it's because I love going to WDW so much that it's easier to plan. One of the cool things about WDW is that if one of the parks is really full, there are 3 other ones that you can go to and your not stuck with that one park. What differs from alot of other vacations is that you can do WDW anywhere from a commando style and fast passed to a very slow passed relaxing style and everything inbetween.
