mid june or early aug Ok as most of you are probably aware - Juan and I are taking his brother to disney for his high school graduation. I am not entirely sure about when his official graduation date is but looked at the same town's public school calender(he goes to a vocational school in this same town) and noticed underclassmen will still be in school until late june. The wheels in my head starting to turn that to save on crowds and heat we could go the third week in June instead of the first week in August. Both Juan and his brother can't really do heat well (though Juan said he would do it of he had too) so I am tryin gto accommidate everyone. I don't know if he is going to college right after and he would have to start getting ready to drive for the first week in Sept (he is a procrastinator of the highest order). After all of my ramblings - would you switch to June or stay with August. Thanks again and sorry so long!

Re: mid june or early aug Most schools are out, I believe, early to mid June, so it's probably a moot point as a question of the less crowded time. It will probably be crowded both times you are thinking of. A couple of years ago we went the end of July and it was already very very hot, as I'm sure August is also. If you choose August, be sure to take refillable water bottles to the parks for each person in your family. Little battery operated fans are great to take too. (These are actually good ideas no matter when you go.) There are many indoor attractions too to escape the heat. It also helps to go to the parks early in the day, take a break in the afternoon to swim or just relax at your resort, and head back to a park around dinner time. The 10 of us in our family did this and were perfectly fine. What a nice graduation present!! Have a wonderful time! ![]()

Re: mid june or early aug We're going mid-June. We went early June in 2004. It was fairly crowded by the end of our week and stifling hot every day. Every afternoon there was a thunderstorm, which did little to cool it down. I can't imagine it being hotter, but if it is, I wouldn't want to be there in August.

Re: mid june or early aug We've gone in June, July and August. They are all just about the same. Rain everyday for usually a short period of time. Hot, but not unbearable. Humid, this really makes the temperature worse. The thing I always fear in August is a hurricane....June maybe but less likely. The crowds are about the same....lots of people. I would choose the one that best fits my schedule and go with it.
