March trip may be off......how about April??? UPDATED!!

I am so upset right now. After being so excited about a short trip in March, my DH may not be able to take the time off from work. We are pretty sure that we will have to cancel. However, we are thinking about taking Logan out of school the last week in April and going down then. We could stay a week instead of the 4 nights so it would actually work out pretty nice. How are the crowds and weather that time of year?? It would be after the Spring Break week ends so I was hoping it wouldn't be too bad. I am looking right now to see what we can work out. We both can get off from work then and Logan would only miss two more days of school since we were taking him out for three anyway. This isn't really what I want to do but it is either that or not go back to Disney until fall. I don't like to be there in the middle of summer. I am so bummed and confused about what to do!! The last week of April and the first week of May are my favorite times to go! The weather is really nice and the crowds usually aren't that bad!

We're going 29 April-13 May and it's supposed to be a great time of year to go, not too crowded with lovely weather

Re: March trip may be off......how about April???

We went the last week of April this past year, because NH has it's spring break that week every year. The crowds are ok, there were waits at the major rides, but with fast pass its very manageable. The weather was really nice too, it was in the low 80's everyday except our last day and we had very little rain.

I went in May 2004 during the F$G festival, and I didn't think it was too bad. However, it was right near the end, so that might make a difference.

In April, you need to find out which weekends are Grad Nights and plan accordingly.

We went las April 7th-11th and it was terrific. The weather was wonderful and the crowds weren't bad at all. It was probably our best vacation so far.

We went last year from April 16-22 and it wasn't too bad. The weather was perfect. There wasn't a drop of rain the whole time we were there. With Fastpass, all the rides were easilt done more than once most of the time.

Re: March trip may be off......how about April??? UPDATED!!

After much discussion, this is how our plans are looking right now:
We will cancel the March 4 night trip.
We will buy annual passes for a trip the last week of April and will stay April 24-30 6 nights.
We will book a room only probably still at Coronado Springs or another moderate.
We will start planning future trips with those annual passes, probably fall and spring breaks next year!

So, yeah my 4 night cancellation is getting better and better all the time!
