Re: Honeymoon That's my favorite hotel. They have an upscale restaurant-- Artist Point-- I would do that. You could also do another upscale rest.-- California Grill in the Contemporary which is a boat ride away. If you time it right, you can watch Wishes from California Grill. How exciting. I'm sure everyone will come along with even better ideas-- those just popped in my head. Congratulations!!!

Re: Honeymoon That should be a beautiful place. My husband and I stayed at CBR for our honeymoon in August 2005 and we had a blast. We paid for the dining plan and let me tell you, you can't go wrong with that deal. We saved so much money with that plan. We made all of our ADR's at nice places and the food was all phenomenal!! I hope you have a wonderful honeymoon-It's wonderful!

Re: Honeymoon We spent one night at WL for our July '03 honeymoon and really enjoyed it. Beautiful resort...be sure to walk around and enjoy the grounds. Someone already mentioned dinner at California Grill, and I highly recommend that. The night we stayed at WL, we took the boat over to the Contemporary and had a wonderful dinner there. They gave us a great table with a gorgeous view of MK, so we were able to watch the fireworks right from our table! We also got a free dessert, which was nice. No matter where you go, be sure to mention that it is your honeymoon. Seriously, tell *everyone* because you just never know when you might get some Pixie Dust sprinkled on you! Buy yourself a pair of bride and groom ears, and wear those everywhere you go. Both guests and CMs were always stopping to congratulate us, and we received a few special surprises as well. One other thing we did that I thought was very romantic was to take a horse-drawn carriage ride around Port Orleans-Riverside. This was $30 for a 30-minute ride, but I think the price may have increased slightly since then. These are available every night (I think) at both POR and Fort Wilderness. Those are my suggestions. Have fun planning a wonderful honeymoon! Disney can be incredibly romantic!

Re: Honeymoon As far as eating goes, be sure to have a meal at the California Grill. We first ate there on our honeymoon and fell in love with it - the food and the setting are both superb. If your budget will stretch to it, then a night out at Victoria and Albert's is a must as well. Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge is another good choice. As far as recreation goes, definitely try for a Wishes or an Illuminations cruise or why not think about doing a behind the scenes tour?

Re: Honeymoon Everyone's right! California Grill and tell them its your Honeymoon. For a real laugh go to Whispering Canyon and tell them its your honeymoon. We, unlike many people, did not wear the bride/groom ears. Frankly, they're annoying to wear all day when you want to do ToT and RnR! Anyway, we did get a pair of black baseball caps embroidered in block letters to say "Just Married" on the front and the date on the back (over the adjuster hole thing. That worked like a charm, plus you could wear it all day and not feel like a moron. Seriously, everyone, CMs, guests, everyone will congratulate you, take your picture, give you a great seat or otherwise make you feel special. Other things on the list: go parasailing (at the Contemporary, very cool), pick a day to lay around the pool, drink way to much at PI (oh, wait, that wasn't a good idea!), get the dining plan and eat like Royalty, or at least like pigs, for a week, have bottle of wine delivered to your room and sit on the balcony toasting yourselves, stay locked in your room for a whole day!!!! Congrats and have fun!

Re: Honeymoon We honeymooned right next door at the GF 2 years ago and loved every minute of it. Like the others have said, tell everyone it's your honeymoon. Wear the bride and groom ears, stop by guest services in the parks and get a Congratulations button (it has a bride and groom mickey/minnie on it) and wear it. People will notice! Are you doing the dining plan? We enjoy doing that as it allows us to eat at a lot of nice places and enjoy whatever we want on the menu without worrying about the price at the moment. We have decided that Le Cellier and Les Chefs are our top romantic restaurants at Epcot We had a fabulous meal at both this past Dec. And our waitress at Le Cellier really went above and beyond for us when she found out it was anniversary... she had the kitchen send out a special dessert (on top of the ones we had ordered since they came with the plan), and she had the kitchen sign a "Magical Moment" card for us. She also let me keep the menu. We had to have our pic with her.. ![]() I hope you have fun planning your magical honeymoon!! WDW is the best place for it!

Re: Honeymoon We went to Disney on our honeymoon back in 1986 - we spent a lot of time at Epcot - Living Seas had just opened that week - we also did a couple of nice dinners, as well as both dinner shows - the Hoop de Doo revue - which is great fun - although DEFINITELY not fine dining. They make a big deal out of honeymooners - we were serenaded during the show, as we were the only honeymooners in the audience. We also went to the Luau on our arrival night - which was nice - but nothing fantastic. Don't forget to leave some down time for just relaxing at the pool, and recouping - weddings can take a lot out of you! You'll be down there during the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot, as well as the MNSHHP party at MK - always fun things to do!

Re: Honeymoon We went for our honeymoon in June of '03 and had such an amazing time that we've celebrated every anniversary (and the one coming up) with the mouse! As everyone else has said, make sure EVERYONE knows its your honeymoon. We wore the bride and groom ears and loved getting all the special attention. Also, make sure you tell them when you make your ADRs and when you check in that you are celebrating. My favorite place to dine on our honeymoon was actually CRT. They gave us wine glasses to take home, had a very special table for us and treated us like royalty. It was wonderful!

Re: Honeymoon Congratulations! We spent our honeymoon almost 14 years ago now at POR-Riverside (then Dixie Landings). It was my first trip to Disney and it started my obsession! I would suggest Le Cellier at Epcot for dinner. It is a very nice atmosphere and great food. Also, Alfredo's at Epcot is really good. We ate at the Coral Reef on our honeymoon and loved it. Also, we did the Luau at the Polynesian which is now the Spirit of Aloha show. It is great food and entertainment. I would also suggest doing a character breakfast. We did and it was so much fun! I hope you have a great time!
