Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding Something to think about... if you are staying at the Raddison and plan on using their bus make sure you are on the first couple of runs! We stay at the Raddison and we use a transport service to get to the Port at 10 am. So you ask... why so early?? Well we get in the first group on the ship and then can go directly up to level 9 and sit by the pool before the masses arrive!! Once everyone gets on board it is impossible to get near the Mickey pool. Plus we eat right there at the pool and avoid the level 3 restaurants they try and get you into. It sure is relaxing to sit and enjoy instead of being in the terminal building waiting... so a little early wait will pay off big time!! Any other helpful tips from out here??? Is nice to help those from what you have learned!!!

Re: Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding Thanks! My SIL and Mom were thinking I was crazy wanting to make sure we were one of the first ones there. But, I'd rather be spending time on the ship waiting to sail, than anywhere else! I can't wait for the other tips! Us first time cruisers appreciate all the tips! Shannon

Re: Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding That's a great tip. But I think it applies to anywhere, not just at the Radisson. We were at the port just after 10, and got boarding group 2. We boarded before noon, ate lunch at Parrot Cay, and were in the pool (which was empty at that point) before 1! Next time, we too might skip Parrot Cay and just eat at Pluto's up by the pool

Re: Re: Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding [ QUOTE ] We've always eaten outside, at Topsiders on emarkation day. Is there a reason people prefer Parrot Cay? [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure most cruisers do prefer Parrot Cay. The crowds up on deck 9 at the buffet and around the pool suggest otherwise. However, I do prefer Parrot Cay. I want a full meal, rather than burgers/dogs/pizza, etc., and Topsiders/Beach Blanket is alway crowded - it's often hard to find an empty table. Parrot Cay is always far more civilized. It works for us, because we're not hang out at the pool kind of people.

Re: Re: Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding [ QUOTE ] I'll just be getting in to orlando at 10am, at what time will I be able to board the ship? [/ QUOTE ] Boarding typically begins around noon, give or take a few minutes. When you get to the port, you will be giving a boarding card with a number on it. They board according to those numbers. It does go fairly quick though and you should have a minimum wait after they start boarding the first groups.

Re: Re: Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding One thing about the Raddison, you reserve a time for pick up, but people show up early and just get in line. So if you have an early pick up, get to the pick up point just a little bit early and assert yourself.

Re: Re: Helpful Tip for Morning of Boarding As to where people have their first lunch - I am from Buffalo and snow and cold. I LOVE to eat outdoors by the water in beautiful weather. We had our first lunch at Topsiders, and every single breakfast there too!
