Jan 27th-30th

My DS (5) and I will be on the Disney Wonder from Jan 27th-30th. This is his first cruise, and the first time on DCL for both of us! We'll be staying at the new villas at Animal Kingdom before we set sail, from the 24th. I can't wait! I've wanted to stay at the AKL since it opened, but it doesnt make sense to use points when you can get a villa cheaper. We have a savannah view-and I'm jumping up and down!

This trip was a Christmas surprise for my DS, and I don't think he realizes how much fun he's going to have.

Anyone else going to be on this sailing?

Question Can't wait to sail- but DH gets sea sick

My DH and I are going on the 4 day bahamas 13apr 08.
I am really excited after all the great reviews, but my DH thinks he will be sea sick.
This is for our 15th Wedding Anniversary so I really hope he is OK. Any of you get sick on an April cruise?

Try "Search this Forum" (esp. Cruise Reports) to find advice on seasickness (or sea sick or motion sick or even Bonine or Scop). MANY people have similar problems and there are many medical people in the PassPorter community that have been on the cruise.
Transdermal scopalimine, ginger, meclazine (Bonine and Dramamine II, the non drowsy kind), and Phenagren all seem popular, but talk to your doctor about all of the pros and cons and side effects.
I personally have never tried any of them. There is also advice in the PassPorter for DCL. My DW may have motion sickness when we go in July, let us know how it goes for you!

Question Anyone Booked on the Jan 20th Wonder Sailing?

Hello All! I've been lucky enough to take my 3 boys (Husband and 5 and 10 year old) to Disney World FL every other year but we have never been on a Disney Cruise. So for Christmas I surprised them with a treasure hunt - Capt Jack Sparrow stole thier christmas presents and they need to hunt his treasure to find them! - to a decorated Pirates Treasure Chest that contained our travel papers, planning video and pirate costumes for our planned JAN 20, 2208 cruise on the Wonder. I even convinced my parents (who haven't been to anything Disney since 1978!) to go with us. Anyone else going to be on this sailing?!? Any suggestions for helping my Dad get in the "disney mood". The kids - of course - are already jumping on the ceiling! We have a countdown in the house 18 days til sailing with Mickey!

Change of date on our land/sea trip. We were scheduled for this October for Boardwalk 4 day land/3 day sea. After going to DW this December, amazing trip
I surprised myself by falling in love with the AKL and the animal kingdom. So we decided to reschedule for Oct 19 2009 for the AKL lodge 4 night/3 night cruise. Looking forward to new fun at the world.

We are traveling on the Magic on 12/20/08 - double dips to Castaway Cay also Cozumel and Costa Maya!!!! This will be our second cruise (our first one was about one month ago and we LOVED IT!). We're thinking of adding 3 days beforehand at WDW and staying in one of the ALL-Star resorts.....any preference on them???

My DH and I decided we need a vacation soon so today we decided we are going to do the 3 night 5/15 cruise. We're doing a 7 night in November and can't wait that long to go. It's just going to be me and DH.

I have been looking for a reason to plan another Disney trip after our first DW family trip this past May. So, We are cruising on the Wonder for a 3 night Dec 11 - 14. DH will be celebrating a big birthday. DDs and I are trying to keep it a secret. I cannot believe I am so excited about a trip almost a year away.

Dear emtpej,

Thanks for the search advice...I'm still trying to figure out the message boards. My DH and I went on a 7 day Carnival western cruise but in the month on NOV and we got stuck between two tropical storms. It rained almost every day, and the pools were not even filled some days...He spent most time getting dramimine from the pursers desk, so It put a bad taste in his mouth for cruising. I just hope the Disney show on deck keeps his mind off of us pulling out of port.
