Hi everyone. I am booked on the Feb 23rd-Mar 1st. Magic Western Caribbean itinerary.
It will be the 3rd trip for my son and I, 2nd for my husband (long story). I saw 2 other members said they would be on that trip. We will be in stateroom 5518.
My husband will turn 40 on this cruise, but we planned it more as a convenient date than a birthday trip. But I think he might be surprised by something waiting for us in the stateroom. I'm a little dismayed at only being able to get second dinner seating since my son is 4 and it will be tough to keep him up that late. We had the same problem last year and just ended up eating at Topsider's every night, which was ok, but we missed out on the parties in the dining rooms. Hopefully this year we can either change the seating or convince the boy that naps are fun. Anyone who's on my trip, I'd love to hear from you!

Finally opted for 7 days in the Mexican Riviera even though we've been there on another cruise line. Can't wait to sail DCL though.
Hi Tami -

We'll be joining you for our first DCL too on June 15th. DH, DW, DD 17, DS 12. We can't wait!

Cabin Upgrades?

Has anyone been upgraded to a suite. We are sailing next weekend (Jan 19th)on the 7 day Eastern Caribbean and got a call yesterday asking if we would mine moving to a suite. If anyone has stayed in a suite can you give us any pointers of what to expect. We went online and saw photos of it. There is definately more space. What else can we expect?

Hi Sharon-

My family stayed in a suite last year on the 4night cruise--Cat 3 --In 2006 we stayed in Cat 5--all I can tell you that the Suite's are WONDERFUL. The amount of space is unbelievable!! My husband, my son, and my mom stayed in the suite and you never were "stepping" on each other. There are two big bathrooms!! Great when everyone is trying to get ready for dinner, etc! You will receive a surprise everytime you return to room at night! We are going again on the 4night cruise this May 11 and are staying in Cat3 again!

Hope you enjoy suite!!

Erin

re: Cabin Upgrade

Hi Erin,
Thanks for the info. I am getting a little nervous about it. We got the call on Thurday and our online reservations still do not show all the changes but when I called I was told all will be taken care of. I was almost thinking of telling them to leave us the way we were until I went online and saw the photos. It does sound exciting I just would feel better if I had some kind of confirmation in my hands that this is happening. LOL

We just lost of mother (grandmother) this week and up to last Friday thought we would have to cancel our vacation plans all together due to her health. God bless her. She lived to 93. Now I really do not want my family getting upset with me for changing our rooming arrangements so close to actually going on the cruise. Everyone is still emotional drained. We need this vacation more then ever now.

Starting to pack! We leave January 30th for a one night stay at Pop Century. We plan on playing at Pleasure Island, and breakfast the next morning at the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Village, then off to the DCL! It's our second DCL cruise, but our first without the kids! We can't wait!

Oh... I've got to tell you, my husband put down on his Christams list (as a joke) that he wanted a Disney cruise. Well, a Disney cruise is not something to be "Goofy" about! So Santa pulled through and here we go!

Blessings!

Date change from 2008 to 2009

DS & I were land/sea package for Oct. 18 2008

Changed to AKL 2009 land/sea package, cruising over Halloween, should be fun.
Have to change to the new list when available
