It's starting to look like we're not going to make it after all. There's little to no chance that my husband will have enough vacation saved up to be able to go and we could really use our deposit back to pay for other bills. I wanted to go so badly. I don't know what to do. I suppose there's a *slight* chance we could still make it. So now what do I do?

Excursions for Panama cruise. Just wonder if anyone who went on the 2005 trip could give a run down on the best excursions and any to be avoided please. Having problems trying to work out. Husband wants to do the zip wire trip not me and I wonder if they can accommodate people who do not take part or is it best to chose something else to do while he is away doing that. Would appreciate any advice The ones I have initialled penned in are - Cabo San Lucas. Lands End coastal or Harbour cruise and drive and the Santa Maria sail and snorkel. Puerto Valarta. Canopy Adventure. Sierra Madre Hike, Yalepa and Majahutas, Sea Safari and the Marieta Island. Trouble is I do no snorkel so wonder if this could be a problem on some of these trips. Acapulco we have I think decided on the city tour with cliff divers and it is a shame we are only in port for such a short time. Many thanks. Brenda

We did the lands end coastal cruise in Cabo in 2005 and loved it! We might do it again this year. Puerto Vallarta - we swam with the dolphins. Absolutely fabulous! Mazatlan - we did a walking tour of (Old Mazatlan, I think). It was ok, but not something we would repeat.

Thank you so much for your reply - it is the lands end coastal cruise I thought looked good or alternatively the harbour cruise and drive. Looking for something in Puerto Valarta but most of the trips are long ones and still waiting to find out if you can just go on the canapy tour if you do not wish to take part. Brenda

I just got back from the WB repo cruise and although I didn't do the Zip line in PV, I did do it in Cabo and I can tell you that there was not an "observer's" option for this trip. It was very strenuous and it covered a lot of ground, so there was no place you could sit and watch. You would be left behind with nothing to see! Also, I wanted to tell you that we did the cliff divers and city tour on our own just hiring a local guide for the day. It cost us $60 for a family of four, and the driver took us all around and even took us to the "market" and waited while we shopped for well over an hour. He would have taken us to the beach and waited while we hung out for awhile, but we hadn't brought suits and towels and were ready to go back to the ship after about 4 hours, so we didn't do it. We LOVED our guide and would highly recommend him. I have contact info for him if anyone is interested. One last bit of advice would be to choose a "land" option as a second choice for any water adventures because in Cabo all of the water (coastal cruise, snorkeling, etc) excursions were canceled due to very high winds and swell. I heard that has happened in PV in the past as well. The weather along the Pacific coast can be very undpredictable! When we got home yesterday morning it was gray and freezing (relatively! It was in the 60s) Today it's bright, sunny and in the mid to upper 70s! You just never know! In August, though, it will be much warmer than it was in May, though. Hope that helps! ~Tracy
