Sorry, nothing new, and I don't expect to hear much for quite a while. As I've noted before, Disney has good reasons to keep quiet. Other cruise lines have new ships in the queue well ahead of Disney's, so if Disney were to announce new features, capabilities, programs, etc. now, the other lines are in a position to beat Disney to the punch.

Both RCI and Carnival started hinting at new features for their biggest (until they got bigger) ships. But specifics? Not on your life. As of right now, even the drawings for the Oasis of the Seas that RCI is releasing are iffy. So I suspect that DCL will slowly "leak" things out until it's time for the major hype push. I just received my package from RCI to presell the Oasis. It's got some great pictures of stateroom mock ups and some Flowrider footage, but those are easy enough to do. Disney will probably do the same thing. But only they know and, at this time, I doubt if even they know how it will happen.

I just returned from the Wonder on Sept 4 and they showed Castaway Club members a video and were talking anbout the new ships. As stated in earlier posts though Capt Anderson was not able to let us in on any of the "secrets" or locations for the new ships. We'll all still have to wait..

No hints from Disney, lots of speculation from others. "Wishes" and "Dreams" are popular choices on these message boards.

Wink

I am sitting here on pins wondering if there is any news on the new ships. We plan to sail in 2011 again and keep watching just to see. I must say it is like -31 here with the wind chill and I could use some warm news.

No news. I honestly don't expect any significant news until close to keel laying. And they're likely to drag things out over the course of the year or so it takes to build the first ship (the Disney Jennifer Marx).

I think you are right they will most likely not give out much but I just keep hoping we really want to sail on the new ship for our 10 year Anniv. and we are not planning on sailing again until then so I am going crazy waiting to hear any news. I guess I will just have to keep checking.

When I spoke with my DVC rep aboard our cruise last year, he said pretty much the same thing you just did...that they were holding off announcing anything in particular to avoid other cruise lines from beating them to it. He did say that the ships would feature new, never before seen on a cruise ship, features.

Not even going to speculate...

I hope they add some additional activities that will go over with the older teens. I'm also hoping that they've got one great plan in mind since they withdrew their bid from cruising in Glacier Bay.
