| Did you have any specific questions? Our November 2006 cruise went to Costa Maya. I'm a little (I use the word loosely) behind on my trip report.

| Costa Maya I love Costa Maya!! We went there on our honeymoon in 2002. When you get off the boat they have the normal tourist stuff the shops and a pool that you pay to use. I suggest going to the Mayan ruins. We got a taxi that took us to the Fisherman Village. It has a beach and you get lay in a hammock on the beach and swim in the water. And there are people that sale items there too. It is true Mexico. We loved it. We ate at the resturant there, the tables were on the beach and they brought out to you the fresh fish that they had just caught that morning so that you could view it. The food and the atmosphere was wonderful. We got a taxi from the village to take us to the Mayan Ruins and had a wonderful time. Our driver did not speak much English so knowing some Spanish does help. We are planning on going back, hopefully in Jan. 2008. At the time there was not even electricity in the village. But you are treated like royalty. I hope this helps. Things probably have become more commercial, but I pray that they haven't!!!DeDe
