| Shore Excursions on the Eastern Caribbean 7 night cruise Hello all, My husband and I leave on our first cruise at the end of November. Being Disney fans from childhood it just seemed right for our first cruise to be with Disney. Now the time has come to make the final decisions on what Shore Excursions we wish to take. The Passporter is very helpful and I have looked at several websites, including this one. Now I would like to hear from more of the people who have been on the cruise in the past. My husband and I are in our 50's, but young at heart - in other words, we love Disney and love having children around even though we do not have any of our own. We both love history, museums and good food - with a little shopping, if the shops are interesting, especially book stores (well, we do both work in a library Our biggest problem in selecting Excursions is that due to an old foot injury I cannot walk too far or stand for too long. (I will be using an electric scooter when on board so that I can go where I want with less pain.) I will probably bring a cane that I can take on shore. With that in mind which of the milder excursions to you recommend for St Martin/ST Maartan, St Thomas/St John and Castaway Cay? Also, my husband is very interested in the history of Pirates, so anything anyone can tell me about Blackbeard's Castle would appreciated. Is it worth having lunch there? Thank you all for any suggestions. Melissa |
