Port of LA Gate to Welcome Center

What time do they allow you to get to the Port of LA to board the ship?? In Florida we always arrive around 10:30 area so we are one of the first on the ship. Does anyone know what is best for doing the same in LA?? We do enjoy being one of the first so we can enjoy deck 9 before the crowds... plus great time for some pool before the crowds!!

Thanks

As I recall, the schedule is pretty much the same as it is in Port Canaveral. All Aboard time is 4:00pm (Federal rules now mandate passengers be boarded one hour prior to departure). How are you planning to get there? Local hotel shuttle, rental car, airport shuttle...?

When we did the Eastbound Repo last time, we checked out of the Queen Mary at around 10:00am, were at the cruise terminal about 15 minutes later (I took one wrong turn in Long Beach), and we were able to go right in (I dropped-off Jennifer and Alexander, drove back to Long Beach to drop off the rental car, then taxi back to San Pedro to join them).

Talking San Pedro

We are staying at the Holiday Inn in San Pedro and we are getting an Enterprise Rental Car so it can be returned Sunday Morning at the Crowne Plaza right there in San Pedro. Enterprise has a location at LAX and the only close drop off in the area open on Sunday. We all figure to drop people off at the ship and then take the rental to the hotel and then taxi back. So the times as in Florida are the same?? 10:45 - 11 am get into the Terminal Building?? Then on the ship prior to noon or so???
