| Alterante Transportation ideas to Port Canaveral I hesitate in using the Disney ground transfer since it might be too much for her. DO you think I should get a town car or mini van? I do not know how patient she might be. any ideas welcomed. also, we are spending two days first at WDW so we are going from there to Cape Canaveral

| A towncar won't handle five, but there are a variety of alternatives that will - stretch limo, van, and SUV among them. Check with the various transportation companies and see what they recommend. Renting a minivan is also a good idea, although anything smaller than a Grand Caravan may not be able to handle the luggage for five.

| Dave, we haven't used a stretch (more the drive ourselves there types). Do they have enough room for luggage for five? The one's I've seen around here don't seem to have a much bigger trunk. And I'd hate to price one of those 50 foot Hummers (actually, I have locally, but I think that folks here are too tender to hear four figures. Per hour)

| It will depend on the stretch - they end-up using some excess seating space for small bags if necessary. Generally some of the other alternatives like SUVs (Lincoln Navigators and the like) or passenger vans either have enough space or can tow a trailer. That's why I suggest talking to the car companies. Each tends to have its own solution.

| Not sure you should completely disregard using DCL transportation. We have used it twice and my 85 year old husband loves the bus and the bus ride. We have never had to wait either coming or going. We have been treated with the greatest kindness one could hope for and not having to deal with our luggage at all is a great plus. Must add that we spent the night both times at the airport Hyatt and they had busses waiting in the parking garage just for Hyatt guests.

| There were 5 of us, and we wanted to rent a car. DH reserved a full size. Well, full size now adays is small! We could not get everything into the car. We had to change to a van. What was he thinking??

| We used a car service - there are 4 of us - and it was terrific. There was room for all our luggage - and they offered all different kinds of cars for however many people were in the party (because there was 4 of us - we just used a town car and it was ample enough). This year we are sharing a ride back from the port to the airport and the car service is supplying a van for 8 and our luggage (different price of course than the town car - but worth it since it's being split amoungst us).
