| Magic - W. Carib - Dining rotation? So I heard rumors that DCL has very recently changed the Dining Rotations. Has anyone heard about this? Any educated guesses as to what the rotation would be for our Nov. 29 7-night W. Carib? We have a nine-year old son (I wasn't sure if he qualified as "younger" or "older" kid). If I call, will DCL give me a definite answer as to what our rotation is so that I can better plan which night we want Palo reservations? |

| I was on the 7 day Eastern last month and, even though we heard the rumors about the rotation change, it was not. We had the PLAPLAP rotation and our seating time was 8:30PM. A little late, but it wasn't too bad. I would have preferred the 8PM seating, though. I don't know if you call DCL if they'd be able to give you that info, but it might be worth a try.

| Disney won't give out dining rotations. Even now, when everyone knows the rotation, they won't tell you for certain until you get your assignment on your KttW card. My advice would be to compare the rotations and see what night would fit into both rotations (as to something you won't miss). For me, since we'll visit each one twice, it's not so much which place we'll miss, it's what "theme" we'll miss. I would want to make sure I don't miss out on a special menu or something (we went to Palo on Pirate night on our 3 night Wonder cruise).

| Hmmm, I also wonder why they changed it? Before, nobody ate at the same place 2 nights in a row (unless they booked Palo for 2 nights! Curious.

| They did something similar with the 4-night dining rotations a while back. I can only guess at the reasoning, and even that guess won't be very satisfying. It may have something to do with the operational convenience of the serving staff. On the old pattern, the last night of one cruise was in the same location as the first night of the next cruise. Perhaps there's some reason why it's easier for the staff to do that duplication on something other than the last/first night?
