Palo reservations

We are traveling with my inlaws on our next cruise. Our reservations are linked so we should be seated at the same table for dinner. What are our options for Palo reservations? I would like for all four of us to dine at the same time. Can I book a reservation for four when the reservation window opens? If we have to reserve them individually, what are the chances that we will get a preferred time together? I am excited enough to stay up until midnight to reserve a time. I am not sure my DMIL would feel the same way.

Well, this is my experience. When I booked Palo I wanted only my mom and her BF to go so when I booked online it let me select all those people I wanted to reserve for. If your ressies are linked you should be able to do this also. Now, funny enough, we met some people through the cruise board that was having a vow renewel. She invited some of us from the board to attend. When we gave her our ressie numbers, to give to her coordinator, it linked all of our ressies together so that we ended up sitting together at dinner. Now all of us had made seperate Palo ressies and Palo called us and asked if we really wanted seperate ressies or all to be seated together. Of course we told them seperate and that was fine with them. I hope that answer helps.

With linked reservations you will have no problem. On thing though.... If you are Castaway Members and they are not, you wont be able to book all 4. We had this on our April cruise, and had to wait until 75 days out to book the 4 of us. Enjoy!

Thank you Tinkerbell34 and kewbricky! Your answers have helped. We are not Castaway Club members yet so that should not be an issue. I want experience Palo since everyone raves about it. However, since it is our first DCL cruise (a 3 night) I would also like to dine in each restaurant. Now I need to decide my first preference for the reservations.
Thank you!

You could eat 2 dinners in one night to experience all the resturants and Palo. We are going in Jan. and I think I am going to do that! Just a thought.

I am not sure we will be able to eat 2 dinners. However, I was thinking about going to that evening's restaurant for just appetizers. Then having the main entree and dessert at Palo a little later in the evening. Either way it will be a fun evening.

DH and I cruised in Jan. several years ago. Enjoy your cruise in Jaunary!

That's what Passporter recommends, if you absolutely don't want to skip anything.

Hey, everyone, I'm trying to decide what night to try for our Palo evening. On the Western 7-day cruises, which night is the formal evening and which night is the semi-formal evening? I have the 3rd edition PassPorter and it gives conflicting info on this.

I have the 2008 Passporter. It suggests that the dining schedule for the 7-night Western cruise will be Day1&2 - reg rotation menu, casual, Day3 - reg rotation menu, formal, Day 4 - Master Chef, casual, Day5 - Pirates, pirate attire, Day6 - Captain's Gala, Semi-formal and Day7- 'Til We Meet Again, Casual. Your best bet is to check the latest Navigators since Disney could have changed the schedule. Here are two places I like to use to find the latest navigators.
CASTAWAYCLUB.COM or Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Navigators, Personal Navigators

I hope this helps you.

Palo's brunch is awesome. So don't get discouraged if all of the dinner reservations get taken up. Hurry and make a brunch reservation instead.
