| Beverages Hi there, We are new to cruising on Disney. Can anyone please give us tips and advice on how to bring our own alcoholic beverages onboard? We read luggage restrictions and what is in the guide book but would like to hear peoples experiences. ![]() |

| Carry on. Which becomes a hassle if you are flying, as you would have to claim your bags and transfer said adult beverages from the checked bags (thank you, TSA) to your carry on. You will also need to consume whatever you bring on board, as anything you bring back is liable for duty.

Even though we drove, I had planned on just buying the daily special while onboard, anyway. If it becomes a hassle, you could buy some rum when you get to Nassau, and drink it before you get back to the US. Quote:
Is that possible to do when you have the DCL ground transfers? Thanks again for all your great advice!

| Probably a dumb question, but if you check your bags with the airline, since you can't pack liquids in your carry on, how are you going to get your liquids out of your checked bags, into your carry out, if you don't see your luggage until it ends up in your stateroom?

| Rather than use the DCL luggage tags when you check-in for your flight, you just let the bags go through as usual, and get them at baggage claim in Orlando. Bring them with you to the bus, and they'll store them underneath.

| Thanks everyone for responding......we have a large group going and were thinking we would go to the store in Orlando after our flight to purchase the beverages. We were thinking of taking a duffle bag and packing it in there to be taken on the ship, ideally we would like to be able to have them take the duffle to our room, as I'm sure it will be heavy.....will they do that if its packed up in bubble wrap and in the duffle? We also wanted to pack a case of bottled water in the duffle too. Any thoughts? ![]() |

| You'll have to lug the duffle around with you, since you have to carry it on. If you want to be able to get it directly to the room, your only solid hope for salvation would be to time your arrival so that you walk on board as the rooms become available. This is publicly stated as being 1:30 pm, although sometimes it's earlier (don't bet on it) and sometimes it's a little later (but usually not much).

| You won't be able to bring the rum on board. Security will collect it at the gangway and give you a receipt, then deliver it your final evening, usually between 7 and 11. The "person" who does this is known in the cruising world as "the liquor fairy".

| OK! Thanks for that! I didn't know they would do that. It does make sense, though.

| Oh, good info about bringing rum on from Nassau. My parents were planning on doing exactly that. . .Guess that's one more item I'll be carrying! (They're flying, we're driving. I'm the designated "alcohol hauler.") |

| We were able to bring our rum on board from St. Thomas in March. It is my understanding that only the liquor purchased onboard the ship is held until the last night. You can pick up liquor in the ports to drink on the ship. Is it different for the 3-4 day cruises than the 7 day ones?

| We are buying the Disney wine packages so we have a bottle of wine each night with dinner. With 11 of us there won't be any left to bring home anyway. Lynda

| ....and if the alcohauler hurts herself while carrying it all for everyone else it's called: alcohauler abuse!
