Semi-Formal Wear on DCL

Can you tell me what your family wore on DCL semi-formal night. I just found two dresses from our last cruise (non-DCL) and would like to take them both, but don't want to be too dressed up on "semi" night...

There's a pretty wide range. The folks who brought formal wear often use that on semi-formal night, too. Others dress fairly casually, and some are in the middle. One consideration is whether you want the ship's photographers to take formal pictures, and how you want to be dressed for those photos.

Thanks for the reasssurance! So much for packing light. However, this way I will be prepared just in case we are able to secure those elusive Palo reservations when we get onboard.

i am wearing a long dress on semi-formal night, and i think my mom is too, in the past i've also worn longer or floor length dresses on semi-formal night, but my family really like to dress up so that's probably why. my dad always says it's better to be more dressed up than everyone else than to not be dressed up enough, or something like that.

We didn't dress up too much and we were not kicked out.

I agree that we saw a variety of different outfits. I went for a nice pair of black pants and a smart top on semi-formal night.
