| Welcome to PassPorter! The weather in the Bahamas only varies by ten degrees between January and July - shorts and sandals weather. Have a light jacket for blustery evenings up on deck, and something appropriate for your trip back home.

| There's a reason the Bahamas and Caribbean are favorite winter getaways. The ocean has a huge moderating influence on temperatures. So, even when there's a cold snap in Miami (just about 60 miles due west), you'll find temperatures 15-20 degrees warmer in Nassau and Castaway Cay. Typical January daytime temps are in the 70-80 degree range. If you're coming from anywhere remotely chilly, that's shorts weather!

| Our first cruise was a 4 night in early February. It was a bit breezy in Port Canaveral. We wore t-shirts/jeans for embarkation and needed a light jacket up on deck that night. The next day in Nassau it was plenty warm and we had shorts weather every day until the night we returned. The evenings were still a bit cool up on deck but not bad at all. It certainly beat the sub-freezing weather back home. The water at CC was pretty chilly so you didn't see too many people in the water other than kids but if you were the hardy type once you got in it didn't feel too bad after a while. I hope this helps....

| We cruised in December and wore shorts and bathing suits. Jeans ended up being too hot, because it was so humid that it weighed down on us. We wore sundresses and short-sleeved shirts and rarely had to toss on sweaters.

| It was 12 1/2 years ago, but DH and I took a Bahamas cruise on our honeymoon. I had to buy shorts and a t-shirt in Nassau b/c I hadn't expected it to be that warm once we got out on the ocean. The weather in Orlando had been much cooler!

| In January, I wore a light jacket on deck, and shorts the rest of the time. Capris for dinner, sundresses for dinner and bathing suits. It's a great time to cruise! ![]()
