Castaway Cay - Hidden Mickey and Subs from Disneyland ride

Help!

All my daughter talks about is finding the hidden Mickey under the water. I know there is no marker there but can anyone give me some general idea where to look. I think finding this could make or break her trip. And, are the subs nearby? My husband is interested in finding those!

Any assistance is really appreciated!

Thanks,
Andria

They are all in the snorkeling area, I think. The fun part is finding them! You really should not have any trouble with that.

When we visited Castaway Cay in February 2007, there was a "sunken" Mickey (a stone-type statue of him with his right palm pointing towards the surface of the water) right around the middle of the snorkeling area. If I remember correctly, there actually was a marker in the near vicinity. And the lifeguard in the snorkeling area was happy to point out to us where Mickey was hidden when we asked. Maybe you could ask the lifeguard about the subs, too!

There are marker. They are balls, I think they are red but not real sure. They are over all the major sunken items. They do have a sub and also a boat and cannons. The mickey is really cool. Don't forget to get a water proof camera before you go. I got some real cool pictures.

they are all marked with buoys. although even that totally confused me (it's not like there's just one or 2). i ended up swimming all the way out and asking the lifeguard there to qualify exactly which one it was since i thought i had hit them all.

i did this all at the end of the day (in fact, they even comp'd me the equipment rental) so i suspect the water was filled with more sand than it would have been earlier in some areas. i'm pretty sure mickey was one of the closer items, towards the left side facing the water if i'm not mistaken
