calling about dining

I read in the DCL PP that some people have occasionally had luck calling and asking if DCL would tell them their dining rotation ahead of time. Has anybody done this? Did they do it for you? I figure what's the worst they can do, say no? Never hurts to ask.

We had friends who tried this - they were told they had 6pm in the Main Dining rotation - they actually ended up with 5:30.

I have never been able to get an answer when I asked- but I have requested certain rotations and times. It doesn't always work but I have been lucky in the past. If you know which rotation/time you would like- why not request it.

I too have asked for a specific rotation for my clients. About a 40% success rate. But that comes close to "luck of the draw".

I didn't know you could ask about that. I'm going in Oct 2009. I'll ask and see what answer I get!

This is what is referred to in decision tree construction as "the status quo proposition". If the worst thing that can happen is that nothing changes, do it.

we are leaving in 15 days and have tried for the past 2 weeks to get some type of answer and each time I call, they tell me they do not have that information and it will be left in my room when I board...
