Question Disney Rewards Card

I tried to search this question, but came up empty-handed. I apologize if it has been asked recently. Like many of you (I'm sure ), I have the Disney Visa card. My question is: can you use your Disney rewards card to pay for you on-board account?? We already have @ $200 and by the time we sail in 11-2010, we are hoping to have @ $400 or more.... would love to use this for any costs I have on the ship, i.e. Palo, Shutters, drinks, souvies, etc. If not, I am going to use it in WDW.... we are going 11-2009. TIA!!!

All you need to do is go to Guest Services before the end of the cruise (any time after you board) and ask to apply your card balance to your shipboard account. You will still need to leave a credit card or cash for charging privileges, but you can absolutely pay the balance with Disney Rewards.

Happy planning,
Melissa

Thanks for the info on the rewards card. I didn't know I could use it for paying towards our onbaord account. Now the more i use it the more I will get back in rewards and the more i can spend!

Some people might think that 2 years out is a bit extreme, but not for cruisers. OTOH, I could also pack up tonight and fly in to MCO tomorrow. Well, sort of. The Visa card might bend a little in the middle and smoke just a tad.

As my dad would say, tell your Visa to "cowboy up!" and handle it. You're not using it right if it stays happy and content in your wallet!

Disney Rewards 5x incentive

I have the rewards card, but haven't been offered the 5x credit. Do you think they just pick certain members? Is there any information about how to ask for it?

Thanks!

Maybe you could call the 800 number on the back of your card and ask about it. My in-laws did not receive anything about it, but they have had their visa less than a year. Sorry I can't help more.... I do use my Disney Visa A LOT, LOL

I called and they are only offering that to certain card holders. I could not get specifics out of them. To say the least I was bummed I was on their list.
