When are you charged for shore excursions?

I was wondering, if I book shore excursions via the DCL website in advance, when will I be charged for those? Will they charge my credit card right away or will it be added to our onboard bill?

It gets added to your onboard bill so you aren't charged for it until the end of your cruise.

I think they all appear on your first day's charges for each member of your party.

It is a good thing to know because I thought we had prepaid our excursions and flipped out when we got a list of our room charges. After I stopped hyperventalitating, my DH informed me that the excursions were included on the list and that is why it was so high!
