Muster Drill and Sailaway Party

So, it sounds like the sailaway party gets pretty crowded. Does anyone ever just keep their life jackets with them and go right up to the Sailaway party?

We dropped ours off and then headed to deck 10 we had a good view and not as crowded. We stayed on the starboard side during sailaway so we could go wave goodbye to those waving at the port.

i went to 10 too intentionally.. it was kinda distant from the whole thing though.. there was a bit of time as i recall between the drill and going up there. once people started coming though it got a bit busier but never too crowded, at least not on 10. in fact, looking at photo times, 15 minutes before it started was pretty empty on 10

No. By the time the drill is over, all folks want to do is put as much space between themselves and those life jackets as possible.

Seriously, everyone is directed back to their rooms at the end of the drill. Anybody trying to head anywhere else would make a salmon seem like a rank amateur.

I don't think your allowed to take them to the sailaway party since everyone is directed back to their cabins anyway. Besides, those things are a pain in the you-know-what, and you'll be happy to get rid of them

We just returned from our first cruise and we had time to drop our life jackets off and then make our way to deck 9 for the party. We walked right up to the front and were right in front of the stage. We stayed till after the characters left the stage and then booked it up to deck 10 to watch as we pulled away. It was really cool too b/c we spotted 2 groups of 3 dolphins jumping and swimming around the boat as we started!

Out of all the cruises I've been on, I've never seen this, but I've always looked for them. Just in case there's a chance I might get to see them, what area of deck 10 were you standing on? Maybe we'll get lucky this time

The crowds are not that bad!! Go and enjoy on Deck 9... and all you have to do is just walk around until you find a comfort zone.... we sometimes do 9 and sometimes 10.... sometimes the front on 10 is neat as well.... just depends on what you want to see and how involved with others you want to as well.... it is a fun time no matter where you go!!

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you go up to the forward in front of the basketball courts, and watch as you leave the channel, you can usually see a few dolphins along side and in front of the ship.

Of the two disney cruise we've been on, we had no problem getting to the party and getting a nice spot to dance and have a great time. Just drop off your life vests and head on up!

Definitely don't take the life jacKets. It takes very little time to return them to your room and get to the party
