Red face DCL's funny online system
I got my room number online yesterday, and DCL faked me out

It said Category 8, cabin 6646.

Checked Passporter's Guide to the DCL and It's ports of Call, and a couple of online sites, and they all say 6646 is a cat 6

Apparently, since I had a gty 8 (guaranteed category or better) reservation they show that as the category, even though the room is a cat 6 (solid railing)...

so....

It appears I got an upgrade

Woo-hooo!!!!! Yeah, the online system does that. They don't update your category, just your actual stateroom number. Congrats on the upgrade!

Very nice upgrade. The online system will always say the category your paid for, but the room/cabin assignment could be anywhere.
