Castaway Cay Walk/Kayak Excursion We are thinking of taking the Walking and Kayaking Nature Adventure on Castaway Cay in Feb 2010. Just my husband and myself are going. Does anyone have experiences to share? We also would like to bike. Not sure if we can do both in one day.

We did this on our honeymoon. I believe that we biked in the morning, and did this in the afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and felt it was well worth it. There is a walk, and along the way the guide provides a lot of interesting details about the island. Then, you board kayaks and she provides commentary along the way. Then, the walk back. Now, I should add that because of a scheduling mix-up that DCL made, DH & I were the only people on this excursion. We did feel that had there been a large group, it might have been tough to hear the guide all the time, especially on the water. So, try to stay as close to the guide as you can.

Thanks for the tips. It really sounds like something we would like. We are both in our early 50's and are in fairly good shape. We walk and bike, but have never kayaked before. I just hope it isn't to much for us.

I'm pretty out of shape (take a peek at my weight-loss ticker), and had no problems with it. The "hike" is all on flat land. DH did say that he had some knee pain being in one position in the kayak for so long, but it didn't bother me. The only kinda weird part is the kayak is 2-person, so while we were in, we couldnt' see each other. We talked, but it is a little strange to be doing an activity with someone you can't actually see. Still, very fun & informative
