| Transfers with the least amount of hassle? As I start putting together our trip, the one thing hanging me up is the logistics of transferring from MCO to Port Canaveral, to Pop Century, then to MCO. Those of you that have done this....what do you suggest? I've read all kinds of different ideas, and I'm getting very confused!!! I don't want to spend a ton of money, but then I don't want the hassles of rental counters, shuttles from place to place, etc! We come a long way and we're usually pretty brain-dead when we get to Orlando! We will probably fly in semi-late the night before our cruise. I'm thinking of getting a room at the Hyatt to simplify things. Should we just take Disney transpo? I think it was going to cost about $260 for roundtrip MCO transfers for three people? I don't mind driving, but paying for parking, or returning a car at Port Canaveral, then doing it all over again at the end of the cruise seems like a pain. It wouldn't even save me money from the prices that I've been seeing for rentals. I don't mind using Disney transpos once we're at WDW, and we could use DME on the way home. Do you have to transfer at the airport? Can you use Disney transpo from the port to Pop Century? I'm thinking that they only go to certain resorts. I know that I could just call and ask a CM, but I know that you guys usually know more than they do! he he What would you suggest?

| I booked DCL transfer plus my WDW package the last two years. Cruise was first. DCL transported me from MCO to Port Canaveral A small mears van transported me from Port Canaveral to my WDW resort. Normal DME pickup the last day.

| I would recommend a town car company for the MCO - Port Canaveral and Port Canaveral - Pop Century legs of the trip (cost approx $210) and then DME from Pop to MCO. It's easy and you get to travel to the Port in style!

| We are using Quicksilver MCO->port hotel (hotel shuttle to the port) and then port->Universal->MCO. It ended up being cheaper than a rental car for us, and it will be a lot more pleasant! |

| Our first cruise was June 2009. Mom had just had shoulder surgery 5 weeks prior to our cruise. SO GLAD we used DCL from airport to Port Orleans Riverside to Port back to Riverside and then finally back to the airport. DISNEY was awesome. Traveling with Mom and a child could have been a nightmare. DISNEY arranged for a van to take us so Mom wouldn't get her arm bumped by all the people traffic. With all the baggage, it was a true lifesaver. Could not have done it with out the "Magic" all of the cast members provided. I highly recommend DCL shuttle! |

| There are a number of town car companies that do that route. Personally I like Sunray Transportation, Quicksilver and Florida Town Car. ![]()

| I'm starting to lean towards the towncar. It would definitely be less hassle than renting a car! It would be great to have someone else doing the driving without necessarily being herded with the masses!

| We use Tiffany Town Car Service al the time with great success. They aren't beholden to any specific travel agent etc.

| WE have used town cars in the past and it is well worth it. We like to use selective limousin. It is a small family owned company that we have been using since 1995. Almost every time we use them, we get upgraded to a limo from a town car. Now I am not saying that this is always going to happen, but out of our last 6 trips, only once did we end up with a town car.

| We used a Town Car service. The service was OK, but the smell of the guys cologne nearly killed me. I do not remember the name of the company, but it was listed in the Pass Porter's Disney Cruise Line guide at the time. |

| Another reason a towncar service might work for you is the complimentary 30 minute grocery stop. Might give you a chance to pick up bottled water or alcoholic beverages to carry on the ship with you. (Just remember to ask for the stop when you make your reservation.) mk |
