Do they stilll do bounceback offers on cruise?

We haven't been on DCL in 10 years, but will be going in May 2010. I am VERY tempted to see if we can swing a cruise in 2011 on Dream

What are the typical bounceback offers, if they still do them, and do you think they would do these for Dream (I'm thinking maybe not, since it's a new ship?).

If they aren't likely to do a bounceback offer valid for Dream, I might consider trying to book on 11/9.

Thanks!

Yes they did on our last cruise. Also As DVC member the last trip they offered so many points off if you book while on board or within 72 hours after getting of the ship. But who knows if they still offer>

Yes they did on our last cruise also. A 10% discount on the next cruise along with a stateroom credit.

I asked the same question, and marisag was kind enough to call and check for me. Here is what she was told:

Good question! I wasn't entirely sure so I called and asked. According to the CM I spoke with- you will not get the discount for the first THREE sailings of the Dream. (They had told us only for the inaugaral last night). After that you will get a discount but they had not been told how much it will be. She did say you would get the onboard credit for any of the sailings. She also said the reduced deposit is not available for the Dream. Hope that helps. I am sure we will learn more in the coming weeks.

A bounceback is Disney's attempt to get you booked for your next vacation while you're still on this one. In this case, if you book your next cruise while on a cruise, you get a discount.
It's smart marketing - they intice you while you're still feeling all magical - instead of waiting until you get home and get back into "reality".

Thanks for the responses everyone

Sounds like I should probably wait until we go on the cruise in May and see if we get an offer, particularly since we are not looking at the first few sailings of Dream - it would be late summer 2011 at the earliest.
