| Packing Question Since I can't find my passporter and ALL MY DCL INFO...(freaking out a little but I am sure I will find it)...We are sailing a 4-night bahamas cruise over thanksgiving, do we have a dress up night? If so how dressy is dressed up? |

I am of the latter, preferring to relax (and not deal with the hassle of bringing pressed formal attire with me). Feel free to dress as nice or as comfortable as you desire.

| We just got back from our 4-nighter, and I was actually quite surprised by the number of men wearing either a shirt and tie or sports jacket (and a few w/ both) on our dress-up night. After reading all the comments here, I didn't expect to see any ties -- except on my DH, who loves to wear ties. Maybe ours was just an unusual group. Saw quite a few polo shirts and khakis, too, so I think there's a lot of latitude in the definition of "dress up"

| Do they allow men to wear "sweaters" or does it have to be shirts & ties?

I like to find a nice middle ground, not too dressy, but not too casual

| I wore capris with nice comfortable tops to dinner, significant other wore khakis and polo/golf shirts. Dress up night I wore black capris and white top with faux rhinestones at the neckline - friend wore black khakis and black golf shirt. Comfortable but still looked dressy for the pics |

The "recommended" dress for a formal night is a jacket or dress shirt for the guys, and a dress or slacks for the ladies. I've seen people in full tuxedos and cocktail dresses, but I think those are the folks that really like to dress up. My husband rarely wears a jacket (and he says it's hot enough on the cruises), so he usually just takes a nice shirt. If you want to a bit fancier, consider a Disney tie with the shirt! For the ladies, it's much easier. Wear a sundress or just a blouse/skirt combo or something. It's much easier--just avoid flip flops, sneakers, bathing suits, shorts, or T-shirts, and you'll be in good shape.

| The four-night itineraries have a "dress-up night." It coincides with the Captain's Reception. They don't have a true "Formal Night," but the photographers will have their "formal" backgrounds setup for folks who want to have a nice dress-up portrait. In truth, that's what dress-up night is all about - dressing a bit nicer for the sake of a "nice" photo - either with the Captain, or without the Captain. Nobody will be turned away from the dining room for dressing no "better" than on the other evenings, and there's, as always a wide range of dress present, from casual to true formal (some folks want that tuxes-and-gowns portrait, no matter what).
