Curious if 'membership' applies to back to back cruises? Meaning, once we do our 3 day next August, when we get back on for the 4 day portion, will we receive the goodies since we technically have one under our belts? Or do we have to wait for our next cruise to be eligible? Free stuff is always fun

My guess is you should for the second cruise, including getting the lanyards on check in for the second cruise.

We have a b2b for next August, and the first one will put us into Gold membership. I asked if we'd get the Gold perks on the 2nd cruise and was told yes! Unfortunately, I can't use the Gold booking window, though, for Palo (or Remy!), since we won't be Gold yet at that point. But I am ready for my Gold lanyard!!

Does everyone in the booking party get to check in at the Castaway Club Members desk or just those in the room with the Castaway members.

Reason I ask is we are booking 4 rooms and only 1 room will have Castaway Members in it. Would not want to split the party up at check-in.

Thanks

It'd only be for the room with Castaway Club members. Honestly, I don't consider this to be such a huge benefit to begin with. The regular check-in lines often are no longer than the Castaway Club lines.

Note that even if you stand together in line, each stateroom still has to be checked-in separately. It'll be a lot faster to let each part of your group be pointed to an available CM than to stay together as each party is checked in by the same CM.

The lines were all the same (very short) on the Baltic Cruise this summer. Of course they did pre check in all the passengers staying at DCL hotels, who came by bus to the ship.

Can I just check, do all members of a stateroom get Lanyards? I only ask as one of our party isn't a Castaway member yet but is in the same room as one?

Only the Castaway Club members get them. This happened to us in December. And yes, it was kind of awkward.

And if it was your first time to cruise did you receive anything that said you were a Castaway Member now? Thanks
I just cruised Sept. 22 on the Wonder, and last week I got a little package in the mail welcoming me to the Castaway Club. It had a card with our names and numbers on it, a little magnetic picture frame (currently with a photo of the Wonder in it, but they said to take that out and put in your favorite cruise photo!) AND - the best part - a 10% discount PIN code for any sailing in 2010 or 2011. I used that right away!

When I called to use my PIN (literally like 30 seconds after I opened the package), the CM was surprised and said they hadn't done anything like that in a long time. She initially couldn't find the PIN in her system and had to call a manager. Eventually, they found it (she said it was really hot off the presses) and I was able to save $500 on my anniversary cruise on the Dream in May 2011!

I was wondering about the back to backs also. Not to be greedy, but if we're paying for another cruise, we'd like more "free" stuff please! And then DD and I won't have to fight over who gets to keep that cute red bag!

We are cruising in Sept. Does anyone know if they are giving the same gifts this year?

Yes, We just finished a Dream MV B2B (and yes it was a dream). While we had to get off the boat, re-check-in etc, all; it was very quick and back on the ship in less than an hour (even before the had finished cleaning our room).

And there on the bed was another set of Castaway Cay gifts which made it easier for the carry-ons later since the red bag is a nice if large handbag that even I would use along with my computer roller. My wife already had another DCL tote and used the first red bag for her handbag.
