My husband and I are thinking about taking another Disney Cruise this year. I am just curious, does anyone know what the gift is that the cruiseline gives for repeat customers?
Castaway Club membership is now broken into three levels, Silver (1-5 cruises completed), Gold (6-10 cruises completed), Platinum (11+ cruises completed).
There are various benefits based on level. What they seem to be doing so far is giving all levels the same, basic gift bag upon arrival in the stateroom. If you're in Gold or Platinum levels, they deliver other goodies separately. The level of benefits for a stateroom is dependent on the highest level in that stateroom - so if Mom and Dad are Platinum but the kids are just Gold, everyone gets Platinum treatment. This is per stateroom, though. If Mom and Dad are Platinum and are in one stateroom, and the kids are Gold but in another stateroom, Mom and Dad get Platinum benefits, and the kids get Gold.
Here's the rundown of benefits:

booked a cruise directly with Disney, but wasn't told about the onboard booking credit? Can you point me to where this information is listed or will the CM know about it when I call them. Sorry, don't mean to hijack your thread but TIA!
Onboard booking credit is the incentive you get for booking your next cruise while you're on a cruise (and that credit will be available on the cruise you book on board, not on your current cruise). That's not something they tell you about when you book over the phone, or on the DCL site - you'll get that information when you cruise, from the onboard booking agent.

Thanks for the information, Dave! We are thinking about taking our daughter and son-in-law with us and getting them a separate room. Since they have never been on a Disney cruise, they will not receive a gift, correct?

Right. They'll get the gift when they take you on a reunion trip. (You can always hope, right?)

Castway Club "silver" lanyard: currently black with white and red lettering, the same design it's been for a while
Stateroom gift: currently one nylon Castaway Club tote bag, two water bottles, two pairs of flip-flop sandals (maybe it's one bottle and one pair of sandals per member - that's not clear).
Gold (6-10 cruises completed)

The Silver members actually receive silver lanyards, and the Platinum members receive black lanyards. As for the flip-flop sandals, it is actually a pair of rice krispie treats in the shape of flip-flops! (And they are yummy!) And yes, it is two water bottles. Some members at all levels have also noted receiving a key chain in their tote bag, although I was not one of the lucky ones who did (I do know others who have though, at all levels). I'll see if I can find a picture to post.
Ok, I have a picture of the bag only. I can take a photo of my water bottles here at home and post them. As for the rice krispie treats...those are long gone!
Thanks for the info and the picture! How cool that they have a different type of bag now than the one we got during our cruise last spring (it was a blue tote bag).
Thank you for the information. I wonder if they will have something different on the European Cruises this summer? For the Med Cruise we got lanyards and 2 DCL trading pins each (one to keep and one to trade).

DCL Baltic Cruise: Catherine Palace, Pushkin, Russia
I took a Disney Cruise with past Feb. with my Sister staying in the same room with our children. My name was listed on the reservation. Can we both sign up to be Castaway members and each receive the gifts for our next cruise in 2011. Again all four of us are staying in the same room.
Membership in Castaway Club is automatic for each person who cruises. So, all four of you are already Castaway Club members. However, the gifts are per-stateroom, not per-person. There will be one stateroom gift in the room, whether one person in the room is a member, or all four. Since there are a bunch of items in the gift package, that's not too bad - everybody gets something.
You can go to the DCL web site and obtain the Castaway Club numbers for each individual. Then you can make sure your status is noted for your next cruise.
