My upcoming cruise schedule states that we must be back on the ship at 4 pm in St. Thomas. Does that seem right? There is a day cruise company that I was hoping to book, but we wouldn't get back until 3:30. Doesn't 4 pm seem a little early?
Disney Cruise Lines (others as well) reserve space at the pier or in the harbour (if tendering) for each port. The times for all aboard are what they were able to negotiate with that Port for that day. So 4pm is early but sounds about what we had for our stop in St. Thomas as well.
I know on some cruises mostly ones I saw in 2012 for the Fantasy some stops only have about 4 hours in Port based on what was available at the time Disney negotiated with that port.
Make sure you leave yourself enough time to get to the boat and onboard BEFORE 4pm they will and have left people behind.

Make sure you are back by all aboard time! If you are on a Disney excursion they will hold the ship but if you are on a private tour you risk the ship sailing without you.

I won't be using that company for this trip. The lady was really nice and let me know that she already has a couple people on the cruise who have scheduled for the full day, which doesn't get back to Red Hook until 3:30. Way to late for us to make it back by 4pm. I'm so glad that I figured this out before our excursion booking window opens up this weekend. Whew!
