The Imagineers, many of whom have been living on the Dream since it left Papenburg in October, were using these extensively. I'd take that as an indirect endorsement of how well they work.

Wow Wave phones look great! Are they only available on Disney Dream? Would have loved to have them on our last cruise, would have been very helpful to keep up with everyone.

We had them on the Magic last week. Great for keeping tabs on our 12 year old and he enjoyed texting the friends he made on board.

They're available on all DCL ships. They actually debuted on the Magic and Wonder late last year, before the Dream went into service.

What I found especially interesting was watching the crew members and contractors on board the Dream (still fixing some of the kinks) using their Wave Phones like they were their personal cell phones. It must make a huge difference in the ships' operations.

Like any of today's wireless phones, there are way too many functions you can learn to use, and way too many buttons getting in the way of basic communication. Give me a few more cruises to really master the things.
