Question Tween Club on the Magic

Can someone tell me about their recent experience with the "tween" club that's now in Disney Quest on the Magic?

Three years ago, my then 9 year old LOVED his club. We hardly ever saw him except for dinner! We had to change the date of our next cruise twice, but deliberately made sure he'd still be 12 when we sailed. Of course, now the club ages have shifted.

So now we're sailing in 2 weeks. I couldn't register my 12 year old for the club, so I assume he doesn't get a bracelet and won't need to have us paged as he leaves the club. But does the tweens club have specific, organized activities for the kids? or do they just sort of hang out? Are they allowed to go to the younger kids' clubs? (my 10 year old is NOT happy that her brother is in a different club)

Actually, the magic has had the tween club for sometime now.... It is the Wonder that recently opened the tween club..... I do believe if you are not comfortable with your child having sign out privlidges- they can remain in the kids club.... Perhaps someone with more experience/knowledge will come along to verify.....

We sailed last Aug before they had a tween club, so I can't help with that. However, my 13 yr old was a little nervous at first about going to the teen club. He was allowed to hang out with my 10 year old in the kids club. They played computer and video games and didn't do any of the activities. I'm looking forward to the "tween" club on our next cruise as my 10 year old was in with mostly younger kids. (Of course, then my 15 yr old convinced the 13 yr old to try the teen club and that was the end of visiting his brother in the kids club, lol!)

They do have a full range of organized activities. You can check a recent Navigator for the Magic at http://www.castawayclub.com

Thank you!!! That is exactly the information I was looking for. All my kids were happy to hear the potential activities. Well, except the 3 month old - he doesn't care.

My 12 yo is dying to be able to sign himself out. But being our oldest, we tend to err on the side of caution with him. We'll see though. Maybe we'll just go day to day and see how he handles it. Such an awkward age...

My son was in the tween club this summer - he was 13, and too young for the "real" teen club (and we weren't too sorry - didn't necessarily want him hanging out with 17 year olds).
He did not get any kind of bracelet, and could come and go as he pleased. We had a rule that he needed to always leave a note on our wipe-off board as to whether he was in the club or on the sports deck (the 2 places he tended to be). There were a few times we found him hanging out in the lobby area on our floor - the chairs by the elevator - with a group of other tweens, usually eating french fries!
