Vacation 2012 Choices- POLL!!!! About This Page:

Hey all,

We are talking about our vacation in 2012 and trying to decide where we would like to go. I always want a disney vacation, however, next year we def can't go anywhere before June due to school and it can't be in the fall because of Cheerleading. Wherever we go it will have to be June-August. We are contemplating about doing another DCL cruise (7 night Caribbean) on the Fantasy, or a week in Aulani (Hawaiian resort). Ok so here are the details: 2 adults (Me- 30, DM- 58) and DD8. None of us have been to Hawaii, DD8 and me will do our first DCL cruise this September on the Magic. Please help us choose and tell me why.

I chose Aulani simply because Hawaii is on my bucket list!! However, a 7 night Caribbean cruise wouldn't hurt my feelings!! I don't enjoy flying and the flight to Hawaii, I believe, is quite long.......I think I would prefer to cruise to Hawaii and have a stay at Aulani so I could experience this new beautifully breathtaking resort!!

My vote goes for Hawaii!

I voted for the Fantasy cruise. My reason is that I have no desire to waste so much of my vacation time just getting there and back from this coast and so much of my vacation budget on airfare!

I voted for Hawaii as we can't wait to go back, and we just saw the webinar on Aulani. But I think either would be great! Good luck with the choice.

I chose the Fantasy because of the age of your daughter.
Reason:
1. Long flight to Hawaii for an 8 year old
2. May be too young for the intensity of Pearl Harbor ( a must -do)

My reasoning as well...when I look at the airfare, as much as Hawaii is on my list, I think it will have to be saved until I hit lotto (or my boss gives me a nice raise)...scary that I think I have better bets with lotto

I choose hawaii because I want to go there.. My dh spent a month there 2 years ago and said I wouldn't want to come home! Also my cousin just did a cruise to hawaii and loved it!

Tough choice, as no doubt both will be amazing, but Hawaii gets my vote, as that's also on my bucket list.

I chose the cruise. We've done a 4 night DCL and would jump at the chance for a 7 night! I know my kids were unsure about cruising, but had a great time and are excited to get back on the boat. I think a 7 night vacation is more relaxing than a 6 night. And as others mentioned, so much time and $ is spent traveling to and from HI that it makes the trip less relaxing. I would like to see HI someday, but for now the Caribbean islands are tropical and so much closer!

I voted for Hawaii. We are going there next March for Spring Break and I can't wait! I am devouring guide books already. To bad there isn't a PP on Hawaii yet!
