I was wondering if anyone knew how the Disney ground transportation would work in Miami? I'm probably going to be flying into Ft. Lauderdale a day early and will stay at a hotel there or in Miami and take the hotel shuttle to the port. But on the final day, will DCL transportation take me back to the Ft. Lauderdale airport, or just Miami Int'l???
So far, my TA has found that "Apparently, if you would like transfers from FLL they put you in waitlist status. They then get back to us and let us know if they can offer the transfers and if so, how much they will be."
Has anyone else heard anything a little more definite? I'd like to think that since FLL is so close to MIA (and the PoM), Disney would be willing to offer transportation to/from FLL.
It's really hard to know at this early date. Your TA gave you as solid a report as is likely - they probably do want to see what the demand is before committing.
The good part is that there are lots of shuttle companies serving the cruise trade, so even if DCL decides to not offer transfers to FLL, it won't be hard to make other arrangements at competitive rates (in the range of $15 per person one-way if you have a party of 5).
