We are cruising on the Fantasy in August 2012 to the Eastern Carribean. When at St. Maartan, we are thinking about going to Great Bay Beach in the morning and then going on the "Island Drive and Exployer Cruise" port adventure to Marigot in the afternoon. Has anyone ever done this combination? It there enough time to do both? Thanks!!!
I haven't done that particular combination, but Great Bay Beach is very convenient to the cruise pier - less than a 15 minute walk for most folks. And as long as you can walk, there's no worry about a bus break-down or some such. So, yes, it should be quite possible to do both - just be sure to keep your eye on the time.
