I have asked this before but have gotten conflicting reports. I have a cruise booked for next May on the Fantasy. I booked myself through DCL online. I will be on the Magic this May and was hoping to re-shop the cruise for next May. My question is do I have to put a new deposit down or will they just use the money I already but down for the deposit. How easy or hard is? Or would I be better off canceling the cruise and just booking fresh on-board? How long would a refund take if you used a debit card and if you used a credit card?
They can transfer your deposit to the new reservation. Your deposit would actually be less as currently you put down 20% and on board is only 10% (plus your cruise costs less).
It really depends on your bank how long for the credit. We are supposed to tell guests up to two statements, though most see the credit on line in 2-5 business days
